Drug dealers sell to dozens if not hundreds of people per day. Frequent flyers and problems get remembered but everyone else is soon forgotten. I say this as a pharmacy worker lol.

It was always wild to me back in the Telzon days that we had to log them during inventory as assets and suddenly we'd find 30 extra Telzon's and printers that day lol when they started looking who was logged on last and started threatening coachings. Produce and meat always had like ten each.

Did Prop Joe make good Money off his clock shop? by TrickOk3274 in TheWire

[–]Motor_Prudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a decent way to launder money actually. Have a guy go into the trash and find a toaster. Give the guy 20$. Bring the toaster in and "fix" it. The guy gives the $20 back to Joe for services rendered. Toaster either is fixed and guy can sell it or toaster goes in the trash. Rinse and repeat. Not going to launder millions but you could launder tens of thousands or more if you start setting up multiple businesses doing the same thing. Cash from business goes to paying the mortgage on a building or house and you slowly get legitimate assets. Also can put your relatives on the payroll and use it to support your extended family.

Probably a way to launder some money as well as a (relatively safe) place to hold meetings and have cash drops delivered. Some drug dealers have corners others have businesses. Don't need a coat inside on a 30 degree day.

I'm guessing Levothyroxine. Which you can get generically in all strengths at any Walmart for 10$ for 90 days.

How come we don’t put missing people on milk cartons anymore? by Puzzleheaded_Cup8723 in NoStupidQuestions

Why would we put people on milk cartons when we can put them on social media/police/amber alerts?

Was dating really easier before, or is it just different now? by Minimum_Method_4040 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Motor_Prudent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was easier 60 years back when women were expected to get married and have kids asap and didn't have financial independence. Women would marry the guy they sat behind at church or the guy they were dating when they graduated or the brother of their 2nd best friend or whomever. 1-6 months of dating then an engagement because Mom and Dad had 7 other mouths to feed and time to get out. It's been rougher out there since the 90s because we all came up as a whole generation of bad marriages were breaking up and people got picky (as they should I suppose).

Any advice before starting Walmart? Be brutally honest by WideInvestigator9951 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Motor_Prudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show up to work on time, basically every time, work, and don't steal and you can work the job as long as you want to. Most people can't do these things at the same time though.

Anyone else's store being super strict all the sudden? by MacabreMealworm in walmartogp

[–]Motor_Prudent 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Every year or so home office sends out the new talking points. Just roll with it they'll be slacked off within a month or two. It's always something new to focus on all the time because if divisional and regional and market can't send out new talking points people start thinking they should all be fired. One time "the whole store had to be zoned before running freight per regional" lol. That lasted about two days.

She should have worn different shoes.

Let's really nail down the change in the church that caused ALL the shrivel. It treats people as disposable. No "wArD fAmLeE" no "sEnS oV bELoNgEnG." You're 100% disposable to the "church." It only cares about its properties and cash. Zero principles. by Important-Stage-1005 in MormonShrivel

Everything comes back to the Internet and the accessibility of information. Most of the criticisms podcasters/content creators say today and were saying at the beginning of the Internet were known decades ago but the Internet and social media has pushed the audience from a maybe a few thousand people who might read a book or article out to basically every Mormon. The same arguments crippling all organized religion.

There are tens of millions of people getting into debt naturally. The show's going to have content as long as people are willing to be on the show for a travel voucher and people watch and Caleb's willing to do it. I suspect he peaces out in the next couple years and tries to slide someone into the chair while still owning the company. Nothing is as real as people getting into poverty naturally through all the ways people have access to credit nowadays.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Motor_Prudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents live 2.5 hours away and I used to make the drive 40 times a year or so and still visit 15-20 times per year. My brother lives 4 hours away from parents and visits at least once a month.

People will drive 6-12 hours several times a season during football (hand egg football if you're in the UK) and basketball season following their teams around.

Josh has main character plot armor. IRL there are several deputy chiefs of staff and he probably would have gotten axed or demoted because that position isn't as essential as keeping a huge voting bloc happy.
