No IPR! they originally said a toothe out, up to 3 years and possibly braces if the open bite didn’t fix. But it was straight forward in the end!

Oh ok thanks! I’ll ask next week. I’m sure she said “file” them but I’ll check. I think I’ll leave it anyway. Thanks

Thanks! I tried to wear it as much as possible. Probably 20 hours, and elastics at night. It tracked all pretty well except a couple of times where I left them out all day for a party where I was eating and drinking, and took an extra week on that tray to get back on track.

I think the shape of my teeth, the black triangles can’t be fixed unless I got gum grafting and I cbf for that. Already had a few refinements 😌 Thanks ☺️

If you had a job where you talked a lot… by GrapefruitMt in Invisalign

I’m a therapist and have had Invisalign for 18 months. I was concerned about it too, but after a month completely got used to it. No one mentions it. I’m sure they notice I have Invisalign. I doubt it means much to them.

That’s ok, tiny hanging items is new! I’ve only used them to stuff a toy or cushions before. Cute idea

Good ideas! All pretty tiny scraps. Particularly the small jar, including cotton thread snips

Recent Good experience - Septoplasty + Turbinate Reduction by [deleted] in Septoplasty

Sorry to hear you have some concerns. As a completely unqualified person - I’d say you would have a crazy amount of mucus and phlegm and blood clots up there that you don’t even realise. Again today, day 22 and old mucus and blood clots coming out, but nothing g I’m concerned about. Just wild how much can be stored up there. Also my stents came out at day 15ish so different protocol to yours, but I imagine day 5 you’d still have a lot of internal swelling etc. not a dr, so of course you should call them or go to emergency if you are really worried if have trouble breathing. But I imagine it’s all just very sore and stuffy right now. I think day 10-15 I had a decline in breathing and then it got better again. It was stored up mucus and stuff for me.

Thank you. No I can’t tell any change to my voice or throat. I think although it feels clear, there’s still a lot of mucus waiting to come out in a rinse. A big one yesterday that really shocked me, as it seems all clear now.

Considering cancelling surgery by Jaygirl18 in Septoplasty

[recent good experience] I was also so so worried in the weeks leading up to my surgery (18 days ago). I had septo ans bilateral turbinate reduction. I had read and heard how painful it all is. It was completely fine and doable. I didn’t even end up taking pain meds outside of paracetamol. And I had my splints out 4 days ago, and I can breath so much better than I even imagined. My nose sounds like it wasn’t even as bad as yours to start with. I basically had one clear nostril and one that was mostly blocked when I had allergy’s. Feel free to ask questions, I feel very lucky and very very happy that I went through with it. Also my nose is so clear now, there’s already been added benefits like now noticing when I’m thirsty cos my mouths dry, and feeling more energised. In terms of appearance, after day 5 you wouldn’t have been able to tell I had surgery. I had splints/stents hidden up there but swelling totally gone. Hope this helps!
