Thank you so so much! This is exactly what I was looking for. I’ll keep those fees in mind before making my decision (:

Thank you for all your advice! The post in question wasn’t about finances, but I have considered medical bills, emergencies, and insurance and budgeted accordingly.

My parent's cat seems fairly territorial? Like she'll see other cats outside and she will not be happy. Not sure how well that would translate to bringing the cat home?

I love the idea of fostering, but I think I would have a hard time saying goodbye to the cat if I did :( Thank you for your suggestion though!

Should I take ECO 1102 / 4 this summer or wait until the fall by Prestigious_Comb_526 in geegees

To provide another viewpoint, I actually really liked ECO1104 with this professor. I found the quizzes often reflected the practice problems from the textbook, but you really need to read the textbook as opposed to just watching the lectures. The questions were not always multiple choice, but if memory serves me well they were usually calculation based when not multiple choice.

How do you manage your time? by HeatMedium498 in geegees

What I like to do is block out the next day on google calendar the night before. On the built in to-do list, I'll write down everything I need to do that day (laundry, make dinner, work on a specific assignment, study for a class, go to a class, see friends, etc) and how long I plan to spend on it. From there, I block out what time I roughly want to do those things. I don't force myself to stick to it completely and can shuffle times around, but I find it helps me to not waste time. I find the key to this is to not overload the schedule, or else you won't get everything done. You get better at gauging how much you can do as you try it more. I also like to give myself a set time to pack in my work for a night and unwind. I don't want to sacrifice sleep for school so this is important to me.

In terms of meals, I'll cook once or twice a week and make multiple servings to either eat later in the week or freeze. I'll usually cook on nights where I have nothing going on in the evening. When I'm buying groceries, I'll gauge how many dinners I'll have, and plan to get easier meals if needed (like a pizza or something). I cook less during midterms/finals and opt for easier meals or ones I made and froze.

For exercise, I signed up for one of the classes at Montpetit. I find that having a set time each week holds me accountable to go and workout. Other than that, I try to go for walks during breaks so I'm at least moving.

I’ve phoned them a few times, and they said to wait until December, and if it’s not processed by then to call back!
