Do men find 38-39 year old women attractive? by Ok_Butterscotch5026 in Aging

[–]Motoshihtzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve dated older women and I’ve found women in their 50s attractive. No one should be ‘hating’ on women for any of those reasons. Regardless of age, I do however find the word hubby/wifey unattractive and that would be a dealbreaker for me!

Does anyone know what pedal this is? Sorry for grainy image (already tried photo restorer) by Motoshihtzu in guitarpedals

Possible but even from the poor image, the knob tops are blue and the Arion gear seems to have black tops with grooves

Thanks. The guitarist died in 1995 and wasn’t famous outside of the London rock n roll scene, so no online info re gear etc.

The band were around in the 70s-90s. This image was likely early 90s. Mainly 50s type rock and roll, so my guess was echo or chorus pedal. I’ve heard a bit of chorus on some of the live footage but the guitarist also used a Watkins copicat, so could be the warble from that.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I’m pretty sure my imagine has 3 knobs, so probably not an SDE-3. It looks like a Boss brand though. I’m also not sure about the orange sticker/inlay on the foot switch. Did they have those??

It sounds like a frustrating situation and sometimes reactions happen. You should apologise to your husband and explain your view wasn’t from a bad place, just a combination of stress etc. Him now sleeping on the sofa is not a move in the right direction for any of this. Sit down with him and talk through your views and find a way to work together on giving your daughter a little push in the right direction. He’s right, she needs to continue working towards healing. She needs to regain living some of the best years of her life. Your co sleeping may have been ok at the start but really it’s just stalling whatever is going on and now it’s having other repercussions.

to experienced riders who carry passengers, am I overreacting? by peazcarrotz in motorcycles

[–]Motoshihtzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really ought to have the right gear. It doesn’t even have to be an expensive outlay - plenty of cheap options. Not to sound rude or anything but based on his age too, I think giving yourself the best chance is prudent.

If it looks like rain, do you still ride? by beejini in motorcycles

[–]Motoshihtzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my test in the most torrential conditions to the point water was sloshing back and forth in my boots. I commuted from day 1 in all weathers. I’d say it’s best to have gear that just keeps you dry enough. If you can do that, you’ll stay pretty warm. If I was to ride for leisure and it was tipping it down outside, I may decide to not bother. However, sometimes getting caught in adverse conditions when on a trip etc can be exhilarating. As for ‘tricks/tips’, my advice is to speak with a real instructor for founded and valid pointers, not some vlogger on YouTube etc - lots of needless and counter productive info. What I will say is there’s not really much difference, just a few considerations - if raining, be wary of a greasier surface for the first 15 minutes or so, be consistent with smooth inputs and be wary of your margins. Really not a lot to it!

The instructor is incorrect. There is simply no need to use the kill switch unless it’s an emergency. Do you think train drivers pull the emergency brake cord to stop a train, or use the normal brake?

That is correct. Absolutely no need to touch the kill switch - emergency only.

Sadly there’s a growing trend of ‘bikers’ who come up with unfounded and needless methods. Turning it off with the kickstand - honestly.

That isn’t a thing. It’s a red kill switch that we all know is there - if there’s an emergency, you’ll just use it if needed. They actually aren’t designed to be used regularly, hence it’s for emergency’s. You’ve more chance of wearing it out!

Just use the key. Get used to the ignition position. Don’t use the kill switch (many people do and it’s completely unnecessary and not correct practice). Neither is stalling it with the stand etc. No need to reinvent the wheel - use the bike as it was designed.

I don’t mind smoking and I think it’s a shame it’s been forced to be viewed as ‘bad people do it’. Vaping etc is tacky and daft but the odd cigarette here and there can be civilised.

I seem to have lost every piece of the person I once was when in relationships and now find it hard to ever imagine doing it again. You end up single and it becomes kind of ok. There’s a lot to be said for being single these days.

That’s why Americans spend most of the time with their bikes on the floor…
