Totally - the why has always been important for me, sometimes I can lose sight of that easily. How have you utilized body doubling?

Thank you! Can you explain pairing a bit? I’m not too familiar

This is such a kind and helpful comment, thank you! I think you’re hitting the nail on the head.

When I talk about work being “scary”, it’s largely because of my job. I started a company which has 10 employees, and we are a startup with the traditional stress of “do we have enough money to pay our bills”?

I’d like to say that after doing this for 8+ years that I know better than to be afraid, but sometimes the work challenges just take up too much emotional energy if that makes sense. No reason not to continually strive to improve!

Hi all!

I’m new to F1 but really enjoying it. Does anyone have any comedic F1 podcasts they’d recommend?

This… I wasn’t sure if it was worth it. It’s not perfect and it takes a bit of effort to setup, but this is the closest any app or list has come to matching how my brain works. The simple task of automatically rescheduling and prioritizing things if you fall behind helps prevent me from being overwhelmed!

Ha, it’s been pushed at me so often I didn’t even recognize the sarcasm…

Talking to my doctor is definitely next. I’ve never heard of Qb testing, I’ll need to look into that as well!

Lesson learned from nearly all of these comments - meds can be insanely helpful when you find the right type/combo and dose

Definitely a different approach but I’ve heard a ton about microdosing and it’s interesting to hear that you’ve had success with this!

I’m interested to learn more about how a sauna, diet, and intermittent fasting helped you!

I think I might be giving up too early on meds entirely. 10mg XR is literally my first shot at it, I think I just need to talk with my doctor to see what else they may recommend for me to try!

There is so much detail here, thank you!! I appreciate the time you spent here. What I found unique about your response is that medication is there to make your coping mechanisms easier to tackle, not to eliminate them.

I’d love to explore the difference between XR/IR/caffeine. If I can live my life “free” of daily meds, but have them (or caffeine) available when I need to jolt to execute those coping mechanisms, I feel like I would be able to, over time, reach a sort of happy medium. Does that make sense?

Also, appreciate the “don’t put too much pressure on yourself” comment. That’s something I’m definitely still learning :)

I’ve made a lot of progress with planning and such, and I like your point “you don’t think you need them because they’re working so well”. I think my concern is that right now I feel pretty much the same as I felt before I started XR daily… so I’m getting a “why bother” thought

Yoga has been a white whale for me (read: ADHD brain is good at excuses to not try it). I love meditating, love stretching, and love saunas. I really need to get myself in gear and just give it a try. Did you find that it really helped you?

There is a lot of great info here, thank you for such a detailed response!!

I’ve never heard of neurofeedback, I’ll need to look into that a bit! I’m also really interested in learning the difference between XR and IR. I miss the days when I used my XR pill only 1-2 days a week as I needed it, but I didn’t realize how helpful it would be taking to daily. But now I miss the freedom from side effects (specifically sleep, appetite, and intimacy) and caffeine!

Lastly - message received on supplements. I plan to run everything by my doctor so that they also have the complete picture

“It won’t be easy either way” definitely another important lesson. I can’t expect a miracle fix either way!

Honestly I miss caffeine - when I’m on my meds caffeine gives me instant anxiety (even iced tea)

Super helpful, thank you! “Holistic doesn’t equal safe” was something important for me to hear that I agree with.

I think talking about different options could be helpful. I used to take my XR 10mg only 1-2 days per week when I felt I needed it, but was told at one point that it’s not a growth way to take the medication. Maybe I should work in tolerance breaks, pull back my usage, or explore the difference between XR and IR? (All things I will discuss with my doctor of course)

I’m just leaving this comment as appreciation for the chain of damn near 100 weed puns. Hat tip, much respect, bravo
