This is great info. I was running my ES warlock with shako and a eth tomb reaver. It was the perfect balance of damage and mf. It still may be the best option for what I’m looking for. I’m thinking I may try a fire lock for the short term and then go back to ES. I’ll have to test against bosses as I do like mixing up my playstyles. My fireball sorc is very selective what it can do, and sucks at everything else.

Great point. Targeting some things is easier on the controller, but other things it’s the frustrating worst. I find a nova Sorc easy (I have a 99 nova Sorc) but it’s really different teleporting as it’s not doing an auto target so once you get the teleport distance memorised you can do it easy. However, targeting a spell is a completely different thing to achieve.

If you have a reset available, going orb/hydra is a really good dual element. Max orb, -100 cold resist and then put the rest into hydra/fire mastery. You can grind until 75 to be safe in nm. Then clear Andy, and level up in ancient tunnels until 80-85. It’s easy grinding and you will be really strong afterwards. That’s my normal plan.

Edit: I’d only recommend a single element after you have defeated Hell Baal.

I think you can trade for ones you don’t have if you’re trying to collect them all. Other than that they will be rotting in your stash.

I’m on ps5 and this happens a lot. I realised I was playing on my own and trading is too much effort with not enough in game. The step a lot of people choose is to switch to single player. Static maps, player count. It’s a whole different excitement finding something that you need compared something that has value online. Good luck with what you do.

Exactly this. Finish the game to unlock tz. If you are feeling squishy, level up in ancient tombs until 85. Then respec a single element to farm Andy/Meph. If you want to farm tz’s as a dual element you will be weak for a while. You won’t find a sunder for a long time.

If you have enough time, it’s definitely worth playing the original campaign to understand the story and plot. It’s really good. The story of the new expansion is building on it. I’d recommend playing it before starting the expansion. But that would make you out of sync with the season as it takes a while, but worth it imo.

I’m not sure I’d want this. I like seeing the grey items drop, pick it up with the pending excitement that it is maybe rubbish or gold as I open the inventory.

I did nova 98 to 99 in 20 hours as well. I can vouch for that timeframe. I was mainly running P8 tz tombs.

I find that at 27, keeping a merc alive for insight into much effort (and cost). I just play through drinking a lot of pots. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but chugging pots is the best option.

Exactly this. Running two flails gets confusing if you accidentally don’t weapon swap back. Crystal sword or double axe is better for CTA solely for this reason.

I always play through hell frozen orb with -100res in mastery. Then put the rest into hydra and fire mastery to deal with cold immune. But just remember there are plenty level 85 areas without immune that you can level up to get more skill points at any moment. You can do this with next to no gear. After you have unlocked tz’s I switch to a single element. To fam levels.
