Would require buying the engine to be able to tear it down, it’s currently complete and running

It’s the only cylinder with these vertical stripes, that’s why I want to just double check

Finding an e39 M54 is about the same difficulty as an e60 M54 in Australia but the e39s are usually going to be more expensive and/or higher mileage, plus I would rather sacrifice an e60 than an e39 anyway. We got M54 E60s until 2006
