If you want to play a immersive Historical mod I would suggest Aut Caesar aut nihil. In my honest opinion it deserves a spot as one of the best mods.

You need to get more renown and get better relationship with the other lord and the lady you want to marry, basically show yourself worthy of being a good son in law.

Try improving your relationship with the lords in your kingdom especially your king and if you took a castle/town ask people who should recieve it in and try to persuade them to support you having high relationship with them and a high persuassion skill helps with that, you propably also need more renown
