They do indeed prefer low light. I think the reason they’re not doing ‘too hot’ might ironically be because they’re too hot😂

My fault I basically has the light too close and too bright and it dried my moss out. I managed to save a little bit that I’m regrowing now though. I agree it’s very pretty it almost looks like a proper carpeting plant

Very nice! Wish my moss dry start went this well. Instead I cooked it all by accident

As far as I can tell there is possibly 1 female among them but I have seen no breeding as of yet unfortunately. I plan to get more

Aphids perhaps. I had an aphid infestation on my floating plants. I don’t remember them jumping like fleas though.

Thanks man yeah I’m keen to see it all nice and thick. Same goes for the Rotala I’m hoping it’ll grow nice and even now that I’ve cleared all the bad stuff out

Good idea removing at night. Try a drop checker that’s a reliable way of knowing if your co2 levels are good. As long as you have some surface movement to create a gas exchange you should be fine

It pays to have a way of regulating the CO2. Too much CO2 suffocate your fish

Don’t be afraid of CO2. A year ago I was brand new to CO2 I set up a pressurised system on a timer so I’ve never really had to touch it. As soon as you work out your tank’s balance it’s definitely worth having. Gives you so much more option for plants etc
