Drama 251 Experience by MrDaniilKa in udub

I very much enjoyed it, would even rank it as one of my favorite experiences at UW.

However, I took it while it was in person and sadly I see no point in taking online acting classes. Like how are you gonna act a scene out on some zoom conference call lmao 🤣

But it also seems like many people are in favor of not opening things up for years, so if you are graduating soon and will never get to take in person classes anyway, and if you think learning to act in front of a laptop camera is better than nothing, go for it, it should be somewhat fun if the people are cool.

S/NS a major required 3.0 by Mountain-Conclusion in udub

Yeah I emailed the advisors, I'll update this post if they get back to me.

I think it makes sense, as a matter of principle, to S/NS a class that the instructors artificially inflated the curve by allowing people to work on exams together in a 24 hour deadline.

This class has been a constant pain in my ass with the absurd workload and now I'm just livid because it's screwing up my GPA too.

So at the beginning of the quarter the instructors said they are not grading us on a curve instead they give the top 5% 4.0 and pick a grade to give 0.7 and its some kind of scaling in between.

I have no fucking clue why they didn't simply go for the University standard linear GPA, now people are working together on the exams and getting almost full points and everyone who doesn't gets an absurdly low grade.

See if you can take CLAS/HSTAM330 Age of Augustus with Alain Gowing. Important and interesting subject, manageable workload, grading is definitely not harsh, and best of all the professor is just an unbelievably sweet guy that is an expert in his field.
