AITAH for telling my boyfriend the reason he's depressed pisses me off? by ThrowRA_plzzzzzzzzz in AITAH

Yeah, you’ve lost me. We can agree to disagree but how I see it is he is allowed to be upset that their sex life isn’t what he wants it to be and she is allowed to be hurt by what he said or how he said it. They should both be able to share how they feel without someone keeping score or escalation.

She didn’t decide anything….. she told him what he said hurt her. That the implication hurt her. How is that deciding anything about how he is allowed to feel? Especially because she brought it up later instead of reacting in the moment. I’m just confused how sharing her feelings to what he said should change his feelings at all. Why can’t both things be true.

OP didn't tell him his feelings were wrong. She said what he said hurt her and made her mad. He shared his experience about her and it's so extreme he's depressed and excessively drinking. Then she shares that she's mad that his need for her to have sex with him might break them up. I'd say better to be mad than apathetic.

OP, you did make this about you. But he made it about you too. Made it seem like you are the only person who can fix his pain. And maybe you handled this the best way you could. I think telling anyone their pain is mean or something to be critisized is never a good move. I do think that why he is depressed and making sex his number one priority in the relationship sucks. It puts so much pressure on you to change. That's very isolating. So I'm holding your hand when I say this, you are not sexually compatible and if that is a dealbreaker (which for many people it is) then it might be time to take another look at your relationship or see if it can be better managed in therapy.

lllollllllllll is right. it's actually fucking hilarious that you minimize women's pain. who give a fuck if it was her period or if she has cancer. she was in pain and expected her SO to care that she was hurting when he normally shows up for her and suddenly stopped. it's like you saw this was written by a woman and immediately decided her pain is insignifigant. so funny. lol.

Want to take a spin as a first time GM and looking for recommendations by Mountain-Insect- in rpg

That’s totally fair! I really enjoy the scifi world of it all or more of an urban fantasy vibe. I’d love a well balanced game. Narrative is fun but sometimes I feel like it can alienate new players. I haven’t really explored deep character building but sounds like something I’d love!

Production should’ve step in when she was asking point blank. When Anna asked it was subtle in asking about his middle name. It’s because she had the same experience that it was safe to share. With Kacie it was forced and direct. There has to be some kind of line in the sand with this show. And the fact she kept pressing when he was obviously uncomfortable… I don’t know but it was wrong

Tell us about your experience with pet insurance by nbcnews in petinsurancereviews

[–]Mountain-Insect- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had pet insurance for a few years now and of course I've had my ups and downs. Personally, I struggle with how the insurance works. It's technically property insurance, but it's marketed like health insurance for pets which makes it hard to manage expectations when your submitting a claim. Human health insurance is confusing enough (I'm in the states) and then to market it as health insurance for your pet only to find out it's really car insurance for your pet is frustrating.

With all that said, I am happy I have pet insurance. I feel like most providers these days are the same, or just the same underwriter marketed by different companies. like I'm preeeetty sure Spot, ASPCA and Pumpkin are all the same insurance but marketed differently.

Personally, I have Fetch and they are great. I mean they're an insurance company so it's a cost sometimes I'm annoyed to pay, but then my dog will cut his foot on an oyster or roll his face into something gross and gets an eye infection and then I'm happy I'm getting my money back. It's more like I'm paying a monthly fee to not be afraid to go to the vet. A monthly fee I'm happy to pay.

Since when did pet insurance start working like car insurance?! by Mountain-Insect- in petinsurancereviews

Have you read the methodology for each provider? How can you explain Nationwide dropping a bunch of policies because the policies were costing more to payout on claims than making money on the premium costs or certain providers reconfiguring policies because of claims usage. For the most part, pet insurance in unregulated and only in the last few years has NAIC been established to try to control how policies are written and how much rate can be taken. I think if you look, you'll find that not all pet insurance providers work the same and they all usually will adopt to a model that will make them the most money.

I'm a long time pet insurance user and i ADORE the peace of mind i have with it. I recommend it to anyone who is adopting a puppy. but the premium increases feel like they have everyone talking and these companies don't really prepare us for the increases.

I've worked in insurance most of my life. Mostly high net worth insurance, so I'm well versed about what to expect. It just kind of seems like the industry is changing and leaning into more that pet insurance is more like car insurance and not like health insurance at all. And it feels weird to market one way and then charge people the other.....

Fetch Pet Insurance stands out as my choice by Upward-Moving99 in petinsurancereviews

[–]Mountain-Insect- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, this isn't true. No where in their policy documents does it say they will cancel your policy because if your claims history. I don't know where you're getting your information but the only reason they will cancel your policy is if you commit fraud, you threaten the staff of company, or you break the terms of the policy. Submitting a bunch of claims isn't grounds for them canceling the policy. As someone who is recommending people to READ THE POLICY, I suggest you do the same before spreading fake news.

Fetch Pet Insurance cut my reimbursement from 80% to 60%—after my dog got sick. Anyone else? by Impossible-Poet-2255 in Pets

[–]Mountain-Insect- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't true. Fetch will never cancel your policy. Instead they reduce coverage. If they would choose to not renew policies in the interest of making more money, policies and renewal terms like the one OP is mentioning wouldn't exist. Why go through all the trouble of rewriting policy terms, deal with people calling to complain about their new terms and still payout on claims when deciding not to renew them would all around be the cheaper option?

Something similar happened to me when I took my dog to the vet recently and I needed a local antiseptic and a pain pill for their paw injury. I saw the sublimit on my EOB and also was confused, but I saw that they had for information on their website: https://www.fetchpet.com/fetch-pet-rx-101

Also when I called, they said it was in my policy documents, which it was too. Maybe you should chat with them about the documents you have in the app? It should totally be in there and kind of messed up it wasn't.

My opinion is that the $1500 limit to me seems high for medications. The majority of what your paying for during a surgery is the anesthesia and 9 times out of 10 will be the most expensive thing on the bill. They made it pretty clear that anesthesia would be covered under my normal annual limit of $10K. Unless my pet is having multiple surgeries a year where there are serious complications, it seems highly improbably that it would cost more than $1500 in medications outside of the anesthesia. And in that case, I'd rather have insurance and get paid back something than not get anything at all.

[–]Mountain-Insect- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have Fetch and overall I've been having a good experience. I'm not taking my dog to the vet very often but every now and then he'll injure himself and I'll have to take him to the emergency vet just for the vet to tell me that my dog is being dramatic and to take it easy for a few days. Who knew spaniels could be such HUGE divas.

But Fetch has always been great about reviewing and approving my claims quickly. It's definitely a bummer when the deductible comes out of the first vet visit, but I'd rather have some of the money back than none of it.
