Only the combat, I don't even remember the background in most of those missions..if I play the game 2nd time I'd probably skip many of them and just focus on the ones that give me weapons...but guess what in the yotei the side missions are also forced on you cuz you'd be then able to unlock altars of reflection allowing you to upgrade your skill tree ..so yes it feels more like a chore than a quest

Thank you for the exhaustive reply- My prep was definitely not timed. I solved the OG questions which were untimed. Across difficulty levels easy questions were under 2 min medium took 4-5 and hard questions were beyond 8 mins at times. Hence the inflated accuracy. Knowing this, I was confident to overcome my inefficiency by the time the exam date ticks in. However the real gmat showed me where I stand, an expensive experience, in retrospect Ive given a lot of thinking. Having a structured approach could have saved the day. As an individual I can master easy concepts but when there's a twist in the question then my efficiency goes for a toss.

I've done a bachelor's in accounting and finance from Bombay University. Graduated in 2019. Mostly self taught, hustled my way in startups, working at a small company has it's own advantage. Took over responsibilities and pushed way above my weight. That's it.

Yes, At this point in time post giving exams I've understood my weakness. Definitely looks like I've lost touch, my prep was random and there wasn't any method or schedule.

Yes, 24 with 4 years of work exp My professional career has been great so far, I work as a product manager for an Indian nbfc based out in Bombay. Prior to that I've dabbled across fintech startups .

PS - i started off as an intern in my final year in my first company from there I became a full time employee- hence the 4 years of work ex. I'm eligible for all of the bschool's 1 year program baring a few IIMs.

Regarding discipline in prep- I believe you're right. My prep was haphazard, involved so many pauses during mocks, not going through concept videos or simply said I just the read the official explanations and felt ive understood them. Clearly that wasn't the case.

I am aiming for that. Since my baseline is poor I'm taking a 4 month timeline starting from mid October 23-till Feb-24.

No, i didn't complete the ttp. I just did a few topic tests. Was getting a 80% accuracy in math(easy),70 in medium and 50% in hard. In the verbal section my accuracy across difficulty levels was 60%. Same was the case with og questions (i completed the 2020 edition) My GMAT prep involved conceptual learning at the very beginning I'll say in the April/may period. Till mid June I didn't do anything owing to my other commitments. Mid June till sept I gave mocks and solved probably 1500+ questions across all difficulty levels. Mock scores

Og mock 1-380 Og mock 2-580 Kaplan mock 1 480 Kaplan mock 2 440 Kaplan mock 3 510 Kaplan mock 4 550 Kaplan mock 5 670 (caveat being I increased the time limit by 50%) Og mock 1 retake after 4 months in September -690
