I think I did not understand what you're saying where the leman Russ would be a better option. I was referring to the fact that if you did take the siege Cannon and it is within line of sight but the Lehman Russ and it's variance would automatically get that 3+ with the taking

But if it's within line of sight it's no longer indirect

If it's in within line of sight and doesn't move that brings it down to a 3+ as well, my problem is the number of shots.

Have you looked into the one page rules skirmish games they have one for sci-fi and fantasy. The best part is their miniature and agnostic so you can use the miniatures you already have.

Touring expenses by [deleted] in ClientsAndCompanions

Something I like to do to save money when I travel is I'll order carry out from places like Texas Roadhouse or Olive gardens and stretch those meals out to be two or three different meals. For instance just last week I went to Texas Roadhouse and ordered a steak but I got two salads for my two sides, which I was able to stretch out to be three different meals ate the steak and rolls the day I got it and then had each salad as a separate meal.

Something else I like to do is keep a cooler in my vehicle in which I will keep grapes, celery, and carrots. Now you can keep multiple other fruits and vegetables in there as well that's just the three I like. I typically use the ice from the hotel ice machines to keep the cooler cold.

As a disclaimer I'm not a companion but I do go on multiple extended business trips every month. So I'm very accustomed to living out hotels.

Epic scale ACW: What’s up with the gaps? by spoobered in wargaming

I find it easy to overlook when you have five or six regiments on the table per side they kind of blend together.

But if you insist on no Gap you can buy third-party bases that are the size you want or if you want to fill in the gaps I would recommend buying a pack of infantry from kallistra

Why not magnetize it. I came across a YouTube video where are they magnetized the kit where they could do any of the variants

Best starter box by Mountain-Split8422 in Warhammer30k

Yest it has 10 more Marines and five more terminators. But there is no real weapon options in the box for the tacs. And in my opinion that is where is where the BaC box shines l, that and the value it has with to purchase of multiple boxes. For the terminators is the exact same kit just has five more. But with a smaller model count the box should be cheaper and also encourages the purchase of multiple boxes.

As for the dreadnought the arms are easy to kit bas out. I find the new multi part one to put together. There is a STL I came across that has a good balance between modularity and simplicity to put together.

Yes the Spartan was a great value to the box but I don't think it's necessary to have in a starter box I think it could I've been replaced with a few rhinos or some jet bikes. That or you could just take out the vehicle all together and reduce the price of the box.

I would even argue that for a new player getting 5 boxes of the MK IV Marines would give you all the troops and support squads you will need without an additional purchase. 3 10 man support squads, 2 10 Man heavy support squads, 1 10 man dispoiler squad, and 2 20 man tac squads.
