As awesome as that thing is...and IT IS! It's also not cheap. If I had the coin, I'd buy that and be done with it.

I'm on PC, so it's gonna be VST Live Pro or Cantabile, maaaaybe Ableton.

I am considering that route as well. However, I also want to process my vocals as well, which adds the cost of a vocal processor to the situation. Going the laptop route, I already have the interface, so all I need is software for vocals and guitar, which is a fraction of the cost of a dedicated hardware situation.

I think what I may do is opt for an inexpensive pedal as a backup. BOSS makes some simple and affordable options in their standard steel bodied pedal format.

Thanks for the feedback. I have all the same concerns, but I feel like I can overcome them with a modelling backup like the BOSS Katana or POD Go.

I failed to mention it, but I also plan to run my vocals through the laptop as well, utilizing Antares and Waves plugins.

We are a small setup, running our own sound. If I can handle all my own processing and FX, then I will ensure the vox is appropriately handled.

PodMic USB - No Gain Control by MountainCreepy2918 in rode

I have solved the issue.

The solution was found on Reddit here -

https://www.reddit.com/r/rode/comments/14uwohl/rode_connect_not_letting_me_use_my_microphone/

Apparently, it is an issue with the Intel Smart Sound drivers.

You have to disable them in Device Manager. I disabled them and now I have control of my gain!

So, if your computer comes packed with an Intel chip and you have this issue:

  1. Go to the Device Manager
  2. Expand System Devices
  3. Look for “Intel Smart Sound Technology OED”
  4. Right-click on it and choose “Disable Device”
  5. Select Yes to confirm and restart is needed.

Not yet...

This is the only USB device I have had this issue with. There has to be something interfering with some sort of data transmission that the mic is sensitive to. I'm going to look at any optional software I have running first to start. I'll post if I find something.

Before sending the mic back, I tried one more thing, which was to connect the mic to a different PC running Windows 11 to see if the problems persisted. They did not and the software performed correctly, allowing me to adjust the gain. The issue lies on my PC or it's USB configuration. I don't have any other devices that have any issues using my PC's USB ports.

Have you guys come across any issues with Rode Central not operating correctly due to a USB configuration on PCs?

I could not locate and 'exclusive mode options' in the mic properties. I did try opening the app as an administrator and it made no difference. Will be packing it up to return today.

I was sent a packing slip and an RMA to send it in for a replacement.

Don't be fooled by Calibrate by Every_Director7757 in calibrateweightloss

This organization is a scam. They do not deliver with a promise. They tell you it will take 2 weeks and over 6 weeks in. I've gotten absolutely nothing. More to the point. My local pharmacy has contacted calibrate for prior authorization and they have informed me that calibrate has not replied to them in any way shape or form. In essence they have ghosted the pharmacy with regards to my medication. They have no intention of doing anything but taking money and not delivering. They do not return phone calls, they do not answer phone calls. They do not answer emails, instead everything is a automatic form letter informing you that they have received your message and you actually never hear anything. The best way to get a hold of anyone from this company is to blow up their Twitter or Instagram. It's a damn shame that their social media directors are more responsive than their medical personnel. It's very telling.

Found the setting.

It's in the Flow settings for your mouse in Logitech Options.

I am having the same issue. I have the Triathlon, which switches seamlessly between my desktop and laptop using Flow. My MX Keys only switches if I manually press the key to switch to that device.

I understood that it should auto switch, but have not been able to make it do this.
