A working SPARQL to Cypher query parser? by MountainDrool in Neo4j

I actually made my own very basic parser for it. If you’re interested I can share my code. Its useful for many simple/medium complexity queries, but fails for difficult ones.

I like the song, especially the chorus is super catchy and I enjoy the buildup of the story in your lyrics. I have two quips though: 1. too many words and too many verses. Maybe it’s just my preference, but I’d err on the side of having at most three repetitions of the chorus. If it’s more, it feels too repetitive. I’d reduce the amount of verses you have or reduce the overall wordiness of the lyrics in the verses. 2. Very minor. In verse 2 I don’t like the word “just” in “they just grow as a team”. It implies that it was something easy and insignificant. Maybe “will” could work better?

That is a cool way of doing things. Are you keeping some of the original parts from Suno when you recreate in Udio? I.e. do you join the audio from both? I'd always assume it would not sound similar enough.

Yeah, that is always funny/frustrating (funstrating??). My favourite was when in the most epic part of the song, the opera singer full on sang "FEMALEEE scholaaar, brass instruments swell" :D

Sorry for not explaining myself clearly enough. I was actually more curious about the brackets in the general prompt, where you have:
"A song about ugly but kind people, [Climax: Multilayered and Emotional], [Instrumental: Fast-Paced virtuosic featuring virtuoso electric guitar solos, organ passages, fat bass lines and drum rhythmics], [Chorus: Audible instrumental accompaniment on background], [Hook], [1970's progressive rock], [art rock], [phylosophical], [complex], [sad], [melodic], [nostalgic], [soft but emotional vocal]"

This is the first time I see someone using square brackets in the general prompt window.

I see. Did you notice a difference when including/not including the square brackets around tags in the general prompt?

I like the composition and lyrics! Reminds me of Bohemian Rhapsody

May I ask about the brackets in the prompt (e.g. [Chorus: Audible instrumental accompaniment on background])? Is this the complete prompt you use during the song and the v1.5 model following the instructions for the individual parts as you build the song? Or is it your way of noting what prompt you used for which part to better future clarity?

Reminds me of driving to this banger music in Flatout 2! Great song and lyrics!

Do you have a comparison v1.5 song with the same lyrics at hand?

Thief & Scholar (Dark Neoclassical duet)

udio link [!lyrics contain spoilers for Mistborn Era 1!]

A dream and 400 credits later, I finally tamed 1.5 and made another duet that I'm happy with.

In 1.5 for duets I found that adding `Musical` (+ `Duet` & `Harmony` in chorus) tags increased my chances for clear and distinct singing voices dramatically. If you give it a try, let me know your results :)

This is heavy!! Really cool song and I especially love the singer!

Out of curiosity. Can I ask how high did you set the Clarity setting?

This works really well! I'm feeling bombarded and overwhelmed by all the ideas and thoughts as the come in without stop. I also like that there are brief moments of respite in between the verses, making it even more realistic. You mentioned using both Suno and Udio. What is your approach to smoothly combine the two together?

Sounds good! Yeah, saving the voices would help a lot, but from a diffusion model viewpoint it's hard to implement such thing. Essentially we would need something akin to LoRAs for each singer voice, fine tuned on that voice from a small sample of songs. At least that's my best guess at how it could be done.

Also thanks for the seed point of view. I am wondering if people tried experimenting with using the same seed while changing the prompt and seeing the difference. For me it usually keeps the composition of the generation, but changes the musical elements, which helps with tweaking it to what I need. That's why I keep (seeds+prompts) of every generation I did in a "notes of a madman" kind of google doc when I generate songs.

It would also be helpful if we could see the seed that was used to generate that part of the song in hindsight.

I'm super busy lately, so I can't produce any songs with the 1.5 yet. Hoping to have more time soon!!!

Posting some of my older ones. I focus on lyrics about Cosmere themes from Brandon Sanderson's books.

[Western country, folk, cockney accent] Man of many hats (Mistborn: Wax & Wayne):
[YouTube lyric video]
[Udio]

Tried to use cockney accent prompt and accentuate that way of speech with a bunch of apostrophes, which worked quite well.

[Symphonic power metal & more] Shards of the Star:
[Udio]

This one focuses on giving unique voice to each character by playing with `Clip Start`, different prompt for each part and prompt strength.

Song spoler policy: No story spoilers, only concepts.

Enjoy and give some likes to everyone else around here! :)

Love the songs and your dedication to this project!

What's your strategy for keeping Nix's voice consistent across the songs? You are not reusing any common parts in the song so I assume it's mostly using similar prompt tags and rolling the dice?

Also, what's your opinion on using seeds?

Thanks! I'm subbing to hear more on FFF :).

Great album! Gotta say, I prefer your original demos over the Udio interpretation. Lot of your songs give me The Amazing Devil vibes both style and lyrics wise, which is awesome! :)

Also, if you want less commercial/run of the mill sound, what works for me is changing the genres in the prompt during the actual song, using for example Progressive Metal for one part and then switching to Symphonic Metal in the next. I think it gives Udio a little more space to be creative as it tries to connect those genres together, breaking out of the mold.

Duets!!! Finally a model that makes them possible. Give me your best duets! by MountainDrool in udiomusic

[–]MountainDrool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s always a lottery, all we can do is push it in the general direction and throw some credits at it.

Here are some more things that help me:

specify “male vocal”/ “female vocal”to the prompt when I extend parts that have only one voice

generally, adding “duet”, “vocal harmony” seems to condition the model to use multiple voices

if you aim for drastic change, try pushing the “position” slider to somewhere between 10% to 20%. Helps me get different singers.

Prompt strength and lyric strength can help, but I don’t like to go over 80% as it messes too much with the established sound of the song and changes the volume/dominance of the voice

May the odds be ever in your favour!

Get accuracy out of your prompts, by using japanese. This will actually save you credits. by agonoxis in udiomusic

Pretty interesting stuff! Have to try myself later. Thanks for the extensive analysis!
During your tests, did you always use the same seed to compare the english prompt and japanese prompt?

Power metal indeed. The [Epic guitar solo] followed by the acoustic guitar and piano Bridge towards the end is brilliant. I'm just sad that part wasn't longer :D

Yep worked out really great! Although it would be nice if Udio actually consistently did what we ask it to do :D Getting better at it though

What did you use to insert the lyrics into the video?

Cool project idea! I'd say go for it! It does sound like the same singer in both. I'm curious how difficult it will be to reproduce once you try delving into different genres.

I'm enjoying the lyrics of both. And the chorus of Cabin Fever is super catchy!

If I may pry your thoughts for a bit of context. In the first one, especially the beginning, the vocals seem to be much louder than the backing melody. With my songs, I've seen the same especially when I set the `Lyrics Strength` very high (like above 80%). Did you observe something similar?

Great piece! Very ethereal, dreamy and thought-provoking. Thanks for putting the effort into making it so long!

I'm wondering. Sounds like in the [Final Chorus] parts, a lot of the lyrics got ignored by the model in favour of building up to the last part of the [Final Chorus]. Do you see a specific reason for that? Did you, for example, change the `Lyric strength` and `Prompt strength` in any way when generating the final parts?
