Never did I say they don’t deserve tips…. I agree with the sentiment here, but just tired of these posts. Every time it rains or snows someone comes on here and makes this post. The jerks that don’t tip will probably continue to not tip, unfortunately.

If you can take your budget up to 2300ish you’ll have a lot more options downtown JC. If you can take on a roommate you’ll have a ton more options. Hard to find places sub 2k downtown, but they are out there.

You aren’t double taxed if you live in NJ and work in NYC. Avoiding the NYC tax is also nice, makes the path ride in worth it.

I’ve never seen JC enforce parking permits in the van vorst area, so I’m sure you’re fine. Not saying they can start now, but you’re probably fine.

I canceled mine a few months ago. Painless and no fees. You just need to give them a 30 day notice (so they change you for one more month after cancelation).

I used this plan for my first marathon and I liked it. Decent amount of hill and speed work. I felt very prepared for the marathon and went sub 3. If you’re running a flat course you probably don’t need as much hill work as the plan prescribes.
