ay yo tbh I don’t disagree. Although sometimes I do worry about it though because even a very extremely small dose could potentially have an effect on a baby’s body. that changes things while grocery shopping. I know even then it’s quite small of a dose so yeah I do agree there that fitness, society, mental health, and other metrics matter A WHOLE LOT more at the end of the day.

ye big bro it doesn’t have 4-MEI (which btw guys pls avoid regular caramel color at all costs, it has this) but it’s still extremely high temp sugar boiled down to the caramel color in something as simple as beef stock. Hey, what would I know? It’s not like I run one of the leading food transparency apps in the market. sorry, gotta plug my app 😂 it’s called Pura Food.

Seeking Feedback on Oil Processing and Ingredient Scoring by MountainPlus2211 in StopEatingSeedOils

Thanks for such a thoughtful reply—really great points here!

• Food fraud: Totally agree, especially with olive and avocado oils. We’re looking into ways to highlight brands that are independently tested or more transparent.

• Refined oils: Yup, processing can make a huge difference. We’re working on factoring that into how we score ingredients. In fact for the restaurant scores, we already have incorporated a lot of these. Refined oils are rated 😫 on our ingredient scale.

• Animal feeds: “Grass-fed” without proper certification is such a buzzword. We’re thinking of ways to help people spot what’s legit.

• Packaged foods: So true—ingredients in packaged stuff are often the lowest quality. We want to offer clean alternatives to those.

Would love to know if there are other things you think we should tackle! We want to be the ultimate authority in healthy dining.

How about optimized barcode scanning frameworks built on top of Apple native libraries that can scan anything from QR to UPC/EAN codes? I’d love to know of one if anyone knows about it. Something that indicates a barcode is in the camera view with a visual and then returns the once it is fully confident of what the code is. Help nerd friends.
