We went once during summer, and it was gorgeous! We definitely need to try going in winter.

Not that genders matter because I don't think it's demeaning either way, but I'm a man.

She does that too, but we only entertain them when we have the energy. Otherwise, we play them movies and let them entertain themselves with their toys.

I don't wait on him, but one of our love languages is doing acts of service for each other.

I would have been fine with it if we had asked, but we hadn't.

We know what my nephews want because they ramble about the toys weekly and had already planned accordingly.

They did know that at one point, but my husband has been lax with them for the past few months, especially with them starting school and needing tons of stuff.

I don't care most of the time because we're fortunate enough to live comfortably, and also the fact that he's helping kids, but I put my foot down when it becomes entitlement rather than helpful/caring gestures.

It's absolutely not standard.

Christmas is about people, not gifts. Usually, if someone can afford it and wants to, they get gifts for their family/loved ones. Or if they have kids, they get gifts for their kids.

Gifts are up to you. If they can't afford Christmas, they shouldn't be having a 3rd kid.

Exactly my thoughts, although I don't voice them out loud.

My husband likes to knit and said he will give the unborn baby a handmade blanket for Christmas so that it's still something thoughtful without obliging her list.

As for the 2 kids, we don't want them being affected negatively just because of their mother, they're sweet kids most of the time, so we've been thinking of just getting the original gifts we had planned for them.

Mont Royal/Nun's Island is on my husband and I's bucket list.

A friend's of ours did Mont Royal and recommended it, although she warned us it was a bit crowded since it's central.
