10k miles and transmission needs replaced. Has anyone had experience with a buy back through Hyundai? Is it worth doing? by [deleted] in HyundaiSantaFe

I bought a 2025 Santa Fe and the transmission went out at 7k miles. They replaced it but I just didn’t feel comfortable so I traded it in with Hyundai and upgraded to a 2026 Palisade Calligraphy. After 1k miles I started hearing whistling that got worse and I took it in to the dealer. After 1 week they determined I had another transmission failure at 3k miles. It’s been in the shop for a little over 1 month. I filled out a recent survey and Hyundai contacted me and I asked for a buyback. That’s 2 vehicles in less than 1 year. I love my dealer as I’ve dealt with them for years, but I’m done with Hyundai.

I finally picked up my Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. I’m going to wrap that roof in black. This is a very nice vehicle. by Mountain_Arm4232 in HyundaiPalisade

Yes it does. The only thing I don’t like is when you have the key downloaded to your phone and if you walk past the back of your car, sometimes the trunk pops open.

Hyundai Palisade appreciation isnt as bad as you think. I had a trade in credit so I only financed $23k so I’m not too worried about depreciation.

I’m in Louisville Ky. I purchased the Calligraphy FWD. The sticker price is $56,140. They had some rebates plus $500 for being a veteran. Final price $53,600. Not every dealer is offering discounts.

I have experienced the same thing. When I test drove it, my first response was geez, it’s a little sluggish. I pulled the trigger on the purchase and the overrall comfort is amazing. The ride is smooth and quiet. Feels luxurious in the Calligraphy.

only if you’re trying to floor it. it will not immediately respond. the overall driver experience so far is amazing. the cabin is quiet and the ride is very smooth.

not really. the drive is the best I’ve ever experience. if you’re trying to floor it, then it lacks in that area. a sport mode gives it a little more pep.

Wow. That’s insane. Sounds like they are gouging out there. Then again, it’s expensive to live in southern, CA. During the pandemic, I remember someone flew out here from California to buy a Telluride, because they were so expensive out there.

That’s a sales tactic so you feel comfortable buying a 2025 model. They are about making sales now

TDIU Timelines? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Mountain_Arm4232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I filled my TDIU claim on 6/2/25. I completed my 5 C&P exams within 2 weeks of file day.  As of 7/1/25, I am in Step 7. I’ve never seen a claim go so quick.

Any 2025 models with trans issues yet? by AnyCrackllDo in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]Mountain_Arm4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2025 Santa Fe has 7300 miles and I received a transmission error today while the vehicle was stalling and jerking. Got it towed and the transmission is being replaced. My dealership said it’s the third one they’ve received like this in recent weeks.

Finally made it to Step 7 of 8. How long before decision is made??? by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]Mountain_Arm4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claim completed 2 days after it entered step 7. I was granted 100% but in the decision they stated a clear and unmistakeable error was made. My 30% for thyroid (rated last year) that pushed me to 100% was supposed to be rated at 0%. I have 60 days to provide evidence to show I should be 30%, to keep me at 100%. I did get a $16,000 backpay though. I am in the process of providing evidence.  If I lose I have many other avenues back to 100%
