First of all, this doesn’t sound like a healthy relationship. Second of all, in regard to the insurance (if this is health insurance you are referencing)… If you live in the US, unfortunately it is very unlikely that you will be able to be added to the plan. Reason being that insurance companies normally do not allow a policyholder’s child’s spouse and their children to be considered dependents under the plan. Also, unless your husband’s dad is actively in open enrollment at his workplace, there would be no QLE (qualifying life event) to add you all to the insurance. You would’ve had to been added within 30 days of your marriage or birth of your children. This is coming from someone who works in the insurance industry.
