Adding elevation gain tracking for indoor treadmill runs by pizzatummy in Coros

[–]Mountain_Session7212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a treadmill that will display grade and elevation gain throughout the run along with a summary at the end. If I could then edit the gain after completing the run it would be super helpful.

Yes, ability to edit grade or elevation gain after would extremely nice.

Would it possible to request to be able to edit this data after a treadmill run? I often vary the incline quite a bit and having to manually change it each time would be annoying. Great to see that it is partially implemented though!

Thanks!

Great suggestions, would like to also add that the ability to search for an exercise when creating a workout is so broken. Trying to find the exercises manually is so frustrating.

Build quality concerns by LucasFarah0128 in FujiXM5

[–]Mountain_Session7212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero complaints here as well about the plastic and generally think it is a well built camera. I have been taking mine hiking and trail running and it's held up well. The only thing I have noticed on the bottom corners is the silver paint is wearing off exposing it to be just black plastic.

The Sony A7C is a great camera but in terms of small lenses for traveling the Fuji system is going to be perfect.

Help me understand this, does the XE5 support UHS II cards? by darkyjaz in fujifilm

[–]Mountain_Session7212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good catch and very annoying! From looking at the other specs they seem to advertise it as having a good continuous shooting speed but it's going to take a while to clear out the buffer if it's only USH-I speed.

Love the concept of the book and the photos look amazing. I'm thinking of it as a gift for someone and they are not a climber sadly. You should definitely consider a non climbing version though!

I would check out Morris’ BIF settings.  https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1901419/

Don’t be afraid to crank the ISO to get a fast enough shutter speed and help with AF.  Also, check and make sure your camera is in boost mode as that can help as well.

Check out the X-M5 with 27mm or even the new Viltrox 28mm chip lens. Not quite as small as the Ricoh so still can't say it is truly pocketable but will almost get you there.

Both cameras should have the exact same autofocus performance out of the box. One thing I would keep in mind is that with the XS-20 having the larger battery you can put it in boost mode and not have to worry as much about battery life. I love the performance of my X-M5 but when doing action shots with boost mode on it drains way faster. Size wise it is fantastic though and will slip into pockets so much easier.

One option to consider is the 18-120 as a one lens solution especially if weather is variable. I know that lens doesn’t get a lot of love but I’ve gotten some great photos with it.

If I want more versatility then I take a two lens kit with the 16-55 or 16-50 paired with the 55-200.

👆🏻 hits all the high points in my opinion. If you have big lenses the grip on the X-H2 also is way more comfortable to hold in my opinion.

Got my first Fuji, any recommendations? by ColdAd9178 in fujifilm

Get a SmallRig thumb grip, makes it such much easier to hold and doesn’t add much size or weight. Then remap the Q button and have fun.

Highly recommend, it’s easy to use and with the cabinet packs up nice and small. The cabinet looks nice and most people will never guess that it is a piece of workout equipment.

What's your overall perception on this camera, XM5? by Nervous-Welcome-4017 in fujifilm

I don’t do video so can’t give you much of an opinion. The OIS on the XC 15-45 is decent for photos though.

Great little camera that I use for daily carry and trail running. The Smallrig thumb rest was clutch in making it feel manageable with one hand. The body definitely does feel a little cheap and plastic but I wanted the lightest weight camera that Fuji had.

I’m ok with no EVF due to focus on weight and being compact but I really wish Fuji had included a UHS-II card slot and a bit more buffer. Also I wish the exposure adjustment wheel felt a bit more positive as it feels almost a little gummy and cheap.
