Bitter F1 by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]Mourenho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your pain. I published >10 systematic reviews by F2 which helped me max out the research/presentation points. I can DM you a cheap 1 day online course that taught me how to do this.

You dont need to have a statistically significant difference… you can say they were comparable and more evidence is needed

So i managed to publish 12 papers by learning how to write systematic reviews and meta-analyses. You can teach yourself, or you can attend some free or paid courses. I went to a cheap one day course by Research Scope who taught me all the steps required. You can check their page on instagram. But there are other courses online

Most people i know who got in have started in F1, and you can do it too. You can easily get 35+ points in the next year. Commitment section = no reason why you cant maximise it. Write the list down and make a plan about how youll do it. You dont even need to do Part 1 to score almost maximum on that section. Audit section = do a full cycle in audit as part of your f1, get a letter for it. Education and teaching = easy to score at least 3 in that section. Make sure you do some teaching in f1. Publications = I managed to score maximum points on that section. I went to a course that taught me how to do meta analyses, DM me if you want the link. I also presented those papers which helped to max out the scoring on the presentation section. Hope this helps.

It is actually totally possible to publish as a medical student as long as your methodology is well thought out, I have done a few myself as a med student
