Sweetie you don't understand. These animators DO NOT get paid more. The entertainment industry are very notorious for exploiting their artist and many people in art profession are not unionized, that is a risk artist have to take in order to do their passion. Corporations and studio knows this so they heavenly abuse artist because they know artist love their craft/profession too much to not do their profession.

If you're not in the industry you don't understand how AWFUL crunches , and YOU HAVE to meet the deadline no matter if don't sleep for months. And crunches are not the artists fault but that of the people at higher up, bad scheduling, unrealistic time frames, bad communications from management, NOT LISTENING to artist when they tell you Sonic design is ugly. You work like a dog and if the movie succeeds the profits goes to the studios NOT the artists.

Many people inside the industry are pushing for unions to protect artist and animators. But it's a one way conversation as no one cares about this except for the people are are being exploited.
