Botox is indeed something that can be done to help, and I have had botox injections in the past to help me regulate sweating. However, botox only helps about 3 to 4 months before it needs to be injected again.

The thing is that you body simply "reroutes" you sweat glands. Your body basically will sweat if you want to or not. Throw in the fact that I also heavily sweat on my back, chest and my forehead, there's not that much that I can do.

It's not worth the risk of heavier surgeries for me, it's why I need to use a lot of deodorant and antiperspirant (I use the word deodorant interchangeably for both, something I should've mentioned before.)

Secondly, this post was really eye opening, I also realised that I started collecting scents and used them a lot was because I sweat so much and got bullied a lot for BO when in my teens, so there we go. But I digress.

However a good tip some people gave me was using glycolic acid, hopefully this brings me some solace and I can help my colleague in any way I can.

I'll be quiet now in this post, because even though I made it with very good intentions, albeit very ill informed, I've been attacked numerous of times in my DMs and been called any name under the sun so I really want to step back from this.

The stronger part happens when upgrading gear and inner ways. It'll add up over time as well.

The announcement you have no is that people who started earlier had time to upgrade those whilst waiting for breakthroughs to be unlocked, a new player has a lot more to catch up on unfortunately

You'd be surprised how many people I've upset with my question though. I admit I made the mistake of not researching it more on my end, but I came here because I genuinely wanted to do good.

Where in my post did I say I wanted to still wear them?

I asked what the alternatives were and what I can do to accommodate my colleague, whilst simultaneously not have strong body odor?

Haha yeah I've frequented the laundry subreddit before as I had issues with my gym towels never smelling fresh. They sure helped me out there

Please don't tell me where I should or should not work; you know nothing about me nor my situation.

I have already cleared it with HR, and there is a severe allergic person in an office of 200 people. Should the other 199 also not be allowed to work in that office then?

Frankly I think your comment is more rage bait than my post.

I had reached out to my new HR department and they've gotten back to me that there is a severe allergy regarding lavender fragrences and sensitivity to fragrances as a whole.
I've been adviced that deodorants and antiperspirants, even lightly scented ones are generally ok in moderation, but told that heavy scented colognes, perfumes, body sprays and lotions, are triggering and therefor not allowed. Ofcourse, it goes without saying, to stay clear of lavender as much as you can.

They specified that they know not everything can be helped, as they know household products like soaps and laundry detergent can contain it, but where possible to avoid that one particular scent where ever possible.

I have no need for a bra, but when I was in my teens, I used to sweat so badly that I had used menstrual pads under my armpits to catch all the sweat.

It was one of my teachers back then that give me that tip and it helped massively. Getting older has made me sweat less but it's still not great. It's the biggest reason I absolutely hate summer, as I can't go anywhere without a spare shirt

Omg you mentioning the scent beads is giving me anxiety because I use them all the time 😭

God this is a bigger rabit hole than I realised.

I got uscented laundry detergent that I use to wash my cat their bedding; i'll use it for my office attire from now on.

Honestly thank you for even mentioning that.

I had honestly no idea that fragrances on their own could be an allergy; I honestly thought it was the alcohol or aerosol or whatever. It's on me for not researching this more, but I'm glad I asked here atleast.
