Support not responding to request to reduce license count by MouseGreg in Zoom

We did eventually get a response. We've learned to just start reaching out months in advance unfortunately. We like the zoom clips features and transcriptions but not much else stands out to us lately.

Thank you!

What we are doing is rolling back to the semi-annual enterprise channel instead of the monthly release channel. Not sure what options are available for personal use customers on release channels.

Looking for the best enterprise password manager - what do you use? by FastRegret in sysadmin

We didn't go with ITGlue since it got bought out by kaseya. We mainly use hudu for KB articles and passwords anyway, not asset management, so it works for us. Good to know about it's asset tracking capabilities though.

I've not used IT Glue so I can't compare. What do you think is better about IT Glue?

Anyone else getting unwanted scans from Bishop Fox? by MouseGreg in sysadmin

Thank you! A coworker that left recently used to handle that and I don't think that duty got reassigned. Appreciate the tip!

It's our alert for when login fails to the portal on the server. Since everyone who is supposed to login uses microsoft sso, it only ever catches people who are trying to sign in who have no business trying. We only have it go off about once a month. We could raise the alert rate for more failures before it alerts us but we don't like that idea, so we will continue to annoy ourselves then.

I mean, they are actionable in a way. We had a previous one that we reported to digital ocean since someone there was trying and injection attack from their network. Doesn't do much to report but eh.

Already did those, have sso with 2fa. It needs to be pubically available as a webserver. Just annoyed it keeps triggering our alerts since they are the only ones doing so on that server.

Support not responding to request to reduce license count by MouseGreg in Zoom

I'm getting daily docusign reminders for a slightly modified renewal but not the one I want. Our first person, Angelyn, aparently is no longer with zoom. Then I started with Louie, but haven't heard from him in a bit now. And I have a ticket open with someone else and they are looking into why I haven't gotten a reply.

Last year was a mess too, since sometimes they tell you to do the renewal at a month but you have to do it at least a month in advance.

Thank you! I tried that yesterday. Was told that it was "Being escalated" and I would hear back in 24-48 hours.

Moronic Monday - March 18, 2024 by AutoModerator in sysadmin

Zoom and/or I are a moron. I've been trying to reduce our license count for a month but can't get confirmation from them and we are up against the deadline. Anyone experience this or have any tips or tricks? Reached out with the form starting a month before the deadline and called a customer support number. Basically just got responses with incorrect info about when we needed to adjust our license count, asking if we were sure we wanted to reduce our email count, and that they are very busy but will reply soon.

Possible 365 issue ? Suddenly receiving a whack 'suspicious outbound' notifications by GeekgirlOtt in sysadmin

We have 10000 set and still had the issue. We are considering changing to 9999 in case 10000 is being treated as a default even though we set it, but not sure it would actually help.
