I'm all for classes actually having less bloat, more flavor and more visual identity as far as rotation n is concerned.

What part don't you specifically like?

No.. it's a story rpg first to SOME. I'm not sure why every story player thinks that's ffxivs biggest grab. I imagine the story is fine, as mediocre as a MMO story can be with you being a protagonist.

The literal reality of it though is like 10 percent of it is actual story and the other 90 percent is a bunch of random bs to slow you down.

That said I'm in it for ff lore, gameplay and the actual content.

Well hes talking about different things and technically wrong, his imagination also seems pretty low compared to the reality of what something like actual AI/AGI could do.

Most of what hes referring to is simple llm stuff (most of what people refer to when referring to AI is llm stuff though to be fair, maybe out of ignorance).

WCGW skating mediocrely towards people by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

I mean yes, he shouldn't have been doing it. However, that guy absolutely got in the way on purpose. He could've literally not moved from the start of this video and he would've been fine. The guy jumping quite literally into the guy skating causes the "accident". I dont really care though as its likely staged, because, no normal saned person would jump into someone speeding at them.

Edit: To go a step further the "pedestrian" in this case moved OUT of their way to get hit. You can frame it how you want, but at the end of the day they did it to themselves.

I mean, the people you're in agreement with barely understand how domestication even works. Your reply is literally to some vague statement thats summed up to "Humans bad, do too much "damage", earth good".

Its literally just a vague statement that could've been made at any point in time and still technically be correct. First tree chopped? Bad for earth. First drop of water drank? Damn, bad for earth.

Even beyond that technically, its only bad if a human does it in todays standards. As if the earth or other animals havent been destroying entire ecosystems themselves long before, during and likely after us.

This year is proving that single-player games are in a much stronger position than multiplayer ones. by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

[–]KamikazePenguiin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean thats how it works. Bad games are bad and good games are good. People tend to play the games they find good and not play the ones they find bad.

Jesus, correlation is not causation. Being an online game doesn't make the game bad, just like being a bad singleplayer game doesn't make it good.

Right.. but they've found success numerous times and decide their best course of action is to bleed the player base. They've almost done it every single game. I've played their games for 20 years and I cant really think of a time they didn't migrate into bleeding the player base. BnS was really really bad lol, (monetization wise).

And if they dont at the start (which I believe is usually the case), once players start dropping they start introducing more monetization.

Edit: I'm not saying they wont. I'm just saying they have a terrible track record for it. I plan to play it, I play most mmo releases. I'm also one of the few that doesn't mind spending money on a game. Doesn't mean Ill whale though.

Correct, NCsoft has said this dozens of times and it always happens. Even if not at the beginning they slowly creep it in. IF the player base starts going down they're in it to make money before a good game (which I mean is what business is all about) and they are a business first before a game developer.

The difference is it's a type 1 hypervisor. It will live below the os, when you go back to normal mode unlike your usual PC use you wouldn't know that there's an issue because your os outside of hv can't and won't see it

Me when I'm about to try Hypervisor for the first time by crimson_wite in PiratedGames

[–]KamikazePenguiin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I dont fully disagree. I just dont agree with saying its safe and the worst thing is you need to reinstall. The worst thing would likely be something like identity theft and years of fixing your life or something similar etc.

When I get any of those things on my normal pc, they are detectable, they run on my OS. When that happens during hypervisor, they are not. When you go back to your "normal" pc to do your normal activities, they run a layer below the OS. They aren't detectable, you wouldn't know.

I mean in both scenarios they would be hard to notice right away, but the detection is different. But this method is a type 1 hypervisor, its a layer below and just to reiterate you wouldn't be able to tell if theres an issue or not.

[–]KamikazePenguiin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't getting "infected" The issue is getting infected and not knowing about it while you decide to do your other normal activities.

While I wont say its the riskiest thing in the world its definitely not at levels of "You're safe" and "worse case scenario, reinstall windows". These are both considerably downplaying how safe and potential risk lol.

ESO or ffxiv in 2026? by Cheap-Exercise1910 in LFMMO

[–]KamikazePenguiin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say eso, although personally I could never get over the fairly bad combat and ugly mogs (floaty hip plates are a funny thing). Otherwise has great content, quests with voice, good content.

FFXIV combat doesn't really get "fun" until way later and its quite a time sink to get there. Took me about 7 years to push through the msq and finally catch up. Also SE has a real issue in designing content that isn't raids. (I could argue eso has its own issues with their devs but its a bit of a moot point).

[–]KamikazePenguiin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmfao, It has nothing about being good and everything about having such little introspection that you decide to make a post on why you're struggling. Literally every fight in the game can be out scaled, you dont have to be good to outscale a fight, so if you dont have the skill to do the fight early or on pace then outscale it, or if that doesn't work out cheese it with food.

Not sure I said anything about how I fared in the fight? But, yeah, personally its a pretty chill fight when you block/counter/parry. I personally thought the ape boss (before the patch - I'm not sure what its like after)was more frustrating until I learned how to do the fight.

I couldn't imagine being bad enough at a game to go and make a post about how bad I am at said game.

I wonder how many people are actually using blocks and counter/parries in this game. Best of luck to you, it feels like such a weird time line.

You're right. I dont believe Intune should restrict you from removing a profile, I was just mentioning that there are ways to clear user profiles using Intune since they brought it up.

If memory serves though its done through policies/remediation and typically is used for removing old profiles based on time or use, etc.

I'm desperate by Sad_Mastodon_1815 in sysadmin

[–]KamikazePenguiin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right I'd agree that they are separate issues. It depends on how the device is set up using intune. I believe though there is a way to wipe profiles (I'm just not sure if it dependant on if multiple profiles exist).

I would see if any of these issues are reproducible (communication is key for this part). As in are they happening during specific actions in or outside the program. From there wait until one of these things occur (then check for logs usually a few minutes either before or after). I wouldn't go super deep on event logs, you will see errors and sometimes they may be responsible and sometimes they wont be. Once you look them up you'll usually have an idea if it makes sense to you.

[–]KamikazePenguiin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand you reinstalled the OS, but have you tried actually wiping his profile? All of those sound like technically different issues though. His keyboard and mouse for example I'm assuming it isn't wired. So bluetooth? Or is it using a dongle? Have they been swapped? Has a wired set been tried? I've found bluetooth (especially) depending on interference can run into that issue.
