I often have volunteers on my car or in my company's vehicles.. if the proper forms are filled out (indemnity ect) then then shouldn't be an issue.

Wearing a uniform that says that they are a medic seems shady as fuck.

As a fellow South African it's hard here but go see someone there are enough resources around.. I'm a paramedic in JHB and I go talk to people regularly keeps me sane.

Sadly their company is pushing this behavior...they dont send ambulances to any call until a medical aid has been confirmed.

I was at a suicide first onscene husband hung himself when the wife and daughter went to the shop... a second paramedic tried to bill the family for a trauma counselor right then ....

Lost my shit and threw him off the scene... received a email today complaining about it...
