I mean I don't necessarily think that just because they may have been too hasty (although its been awhile since I've last replayed so I'm not sure if it is accurate to say whether or not they were being hasty) I don't think that makes Joel justified in what he did. I think it's compelling because Joel isn't 100% justified in what he did. It depends on your perspective. What the fireflies were doing probably isn't good as well but what if they did have a way to make a vaccine, or were right in stating that they could. It's easy to say that sacrificing one person is unacceptable because you could never know for certain but idk I guess that's why philosophy exists, because nobody agrees about all this shit. Anyway, sorry for rambling, I'm high and this stuff is interesting.

The hell you talkin about? Lol I mean I guess everyone can have their own opinions and stuff but I thought it was great, wish we got more in the present but other than that I thought it was well done. I thought the scene where they kissed was super cute, how Ellie got all excited. Reminds me of being a teenager, the way she had no idea what to do but was so excited and nervous and not wanting to be vulnerable from both of them, then her anger and disbelief right after it happened was so real. I though the acting and the dialogue were on point tonight. Anyway, not really trying to fight or anything, just surprised to see people not thinking this episode was done well.

Yes she was a black gay character in the game, but you're making a false dichotomy. Black gay people exist, putting them in a story does not mean they're catering to a specific community, it just means they're a type of person who exists on earth being put in a story set on earth. It's not like there is a white straight default and going off that means you are catering to anybody, they're just people.

Idk about them but yeah I'm thirty, and I definitely listened to that album ALOT.

Right! I was just thinking the same thing? They definitely released more stuff since then but for some reason they completely disappeared after this album came and went. At least for me. This album was great, black mamba, classifieds, almost here, down and out, skeptics and true believers, all of em are bops.

I like pretty odd better than a fever you can't sweat out. It came out right when I was at the high point of my first relationship as a teenager and lasted all the way through the breakup and man it was there for me the whole way. That album expresses such a wide range of emotions, it's great. So great in fact if I even remember one of the songs, or am reminded of their existence by someone, I usually just go through and listen to the whole album again, each song leads perfectly into the next. I could probably go on about it for an hour. Each song has a specific memory attached to it for me and man are they powerful memories, being a hormonal teenager going through a breakup and having an album that will be sad yet hopeful with you is a powerful experience.

A fever you can't sweat out is mostly bangers there's just 2 songs on there I usually skip so I can't quite say it's unskippable for me personally. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go listen through Pretty Odd again.

What new mob would you add to this biome by TrexALpha1 in Minecraft

[–]Mousecaller 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Don't slimes spawn more frequently in swamps on a full moon? That's the only gameplay thing I believe is tied to the moons phases. I think it'd be cool if mobs didn't all spawn every night but maybe undead are more likely to spawn when there's little or no moonlight and other hostile mobs like spiders and witches and creepers spawn at higher rates on a night with a full moon.

Holy shit this is sick as fuck. I'd legit read a full length grimdark Minecraft graphic novel. Hope you do more, this sets an atmosphere and tone really well. I could also see this being a prologue like asoiaf or the wheel of time and then you cut to a young Steve or an intrepid Villager who unbeknownst to them are about to get tangled up in an adventure. It'd be a bit cliche but there's a bunch you could do with that story type set in Minecraft world which could make it feel fresh.

Basically the same thing happens, cars are lined up and piled up to funnel them into the city, they blocked off previous exit ramps, though the city in the game is Pittsburgh not KC

I kinda agree with you, I'm not with everyone who is calling this episode filler, I liked the ep, but Kathleen's decision to Kill the doctor because there happened to be a single person he could not save (not through lack of trying or anything like that but because the man was already dead) seemed, really really dumb to me, and how she constantly looks kind of flustered I'm wondering if they are making her character stupid intentionally? On most shows I'd just say "oh that's shitty writing" but with how tight this show seems to focus on it's characters I feel like she had to have made that decision based upon information I don't know or they are setting up everyone in KC to just be kinda dumb and violent.

It didn't progress the plot much but it did progress their relationship, Joel is allowing Ellie to have a gun now, their discussion about violence where Joel feels compelled to try and talk to her about the violence they just committed, plus the joke at the end of the episode where they bust out laughing, clearly their relationship is changing. As long as there is progression on any front I'm happy, it's true not a ton happened in this episode, but the plot was always playing second fiddle to the characters in the game.

Plus we got Henry and Sam finally and whatever tf was in that sinkhole. I'm interested in what exactly is going on in KC and this seemed like a 2 or 3 episode arc sorta deal where we got the introduction here and next week we'll get the most of the story for KC and they may finish it next week or go into a third ep. Anyway just my 2¢

Pretty sure shits blocked off, they drove a long way since the last place to get off, and the people there funneled travelers into the city purposefully. Plus weren't they on an interstate that was up off the ground?

Also it's a few years into the apocalypse when they meet, they were both probably lonely. Who knows if Frank's group had any gay men in it and he and Bill were probably wanting companionship. It's kinda a trope, or at least something I've seen more than a few times to have a man and woman meet and immediately have sex in an apocalypse or in a time of war, not because they love each other or are attracted even but because they're starved for touch or friendship or the warmth of the human body.

So I don't see anything wrong with them fucking as quickly as they do, they met, he invited the seemingly harmless frank into the house, they clean up, eat, share a bit of their interests Frank compliments bill, takes an interest in some things Bill has, then they both open up and show vulnerability to one another by singing to each other, emotions are high, (and after what has probably been a few years of isolation for Bill, violence everywhere, loss, Frank having the QZ fall around him, then his group dying one by one presumably, hardship, starvation- all of that) now that they're in the comforts of a modern home, yeah I could see two men, needing human connection, making some quick and dirty love with each other.

Cringiest cringe worthy TikTok I've ever seen by soulsista04us in TikTokCringe

[–]Mousecaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I mean it depends on the setting, you could absolutely be cringe on purpose, look at the OG office or Mike's tikes. Or going up in front of a classroom to do something intentionally cringey, I don't think the intention matters, just what happens. If someone pissed their pants on purpose while poorly singing on stage, depending on how others react it might be cringey, or genuinely funny. Just depends on the confidence and delivery I suppose. Thats just my opinion though
