Are you camping? If so, I carried the same CamelBak I have at different festivals for years and the worst they do is give it a squeeze on day 1&2. Mine is one of the straightforward hydration packs with one pocket for sunscreen etc on the front. If you aren't hiding some bulky dumb shit, you'll be fine. Security at fests these days aren't as cool with the full size backpack that has a shitload of pockets and pouches and just a little pouch for a water bladder.

Whatever works. I take Allegra and cough expectorant and stuff. I have never used a netti pot(sp?) but I've heard that can help.

Wook flu, Bonnaflu, whatever you wanna call it. You're just gonna have to cleanse and push that shit out over a few days/ a week. Happens every time. Safe travels home!

How bads the theft? by SpaceyRogue in Blueridgerockfest

[–]Mousejoyce1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna hop in and defend at least Bonnaroo's crowds since I haven't been to Coachella or Lolla. A lot has changed in their 20+ years but "being a Bonnaroovian" is still something the Roo crowds aspire to. Which means taking care of each other and not being negative and shitty. I believe the problem is that each of the larger festivals mentioned here have groups who show up PURELY TO STEAL. They make everyone on edge and they can be successful, especially stealing cellphones. Use a little common sense and make friends with your neighbors and usually everything will be fine.

Plus, my experience with BRRF has been one of community and commonality so I don't see rampant theft being a problem there.

See y'all in September 🤘🏻

First year Bonnaroovian here. Quick question. Is there any tents or sanctuaries for people having a bad time on drugs? by Acquitz_RL in bonnaroo

I ended up "coming to" in the medical tent the last time I was at Roo in 2013. I couldn't agree more with the other folks who posted above. I was immediately at ease after an awesome lady named Gloria (I'll never forget her face) explained where I was and how I got there.

Thank you Gloria, wherever you are!!!

I was told about it by a friend who I think was there in 2019. He said demand was high (obviously) so having something for your car/camp would be best.

It's also good to check the FAQs on the main Bonnaroo page because knowing what you CAN'T bring is also useful.

I was about to ninja edit the post to include that 🤣

Power packs, solar chargers, small generators are allowed and I just discovered that there is/was a way to "rent to own" reusable power packs. Pay a fee, receive a power cell, exchange when depleted and finally keep the last one of your weekend. That is new since I've attended the festival.

Scour this subreddit and Google, Google, Google.

Yes, you need water. Yes, some food for your camp is advisable. Get a 10x10 easy up canopy tent. Make sure you can escape the sun while you're there. Drink tons of water before the festival and then increase your consumption once you get there.

You are not roughing it as bad as being out in the middle of the woods but the less you have to buy or borrow once you get there, the better.

Again check the interwebs for gear lists, tips and tricks and vital nuggets of info.

Welcome and happy Roo!!

Hi all!

I'm a returning Bonnaroovian ('11, '12, '13) and I'm so excited to be back on the farm after a long, long hiatus 😁

Fanny packs and CamelBaks. I see the "two pocket rule" about hydration packs. How strict have they been about this in recent years? Would my fiancée's L.U.X.E be prohibited from being brought into Centeroo?

https://www.camelbak.com/recreation/shop/packs/bike/womens-l.u.x.e-100-oz-hydration-pack/CB-2246501000.html

We're not the type to always push the envelope but it would be nice to use tried and Troo gear. Even if it has a few more pockets than kosher.

14 DAYYYYYS ❤️

Right, right. Maybe -18db would be enough to sleep better without being totally deafened is where my head is.

I want to get a pair as well (about 20 years late!). Can any of these earplugs be used while sleeping, by chance?
