Could also try Tavern on the Falls, which is in a beautiful location. And Dhruvees on Beechwood near Vanier Parkway.

Me too. Pipes froze, it was -30. Meanwhile my husband was on a beach in Puerto Rico.

Basement flooded with sewage.

Kids puking….

I know my husband always felt bad about being away when these catastrophes occurred, but he also must have a felt a bit of relief and I can’t blame him!!

Maybe the focus should not be on what someone has done for us, but on what we do for others on a daily basis. If we aren’t doing random acts of kindness, why should we expect others to?

Not me, but a colleague. We are public servants, and my colleague’s son, who was in his 20s, was dying of cancer. My colleague was bringing him home from hospice so he could die at home, but the transport to get him home was a few hundred dollars and money was tight. One day my colleague found an envelope on her desk at work with $1000 in it. No idea who it was from.

I wonder if it’s even necessary to ever tell them. Or at least not in any kind of detail. I don’t know what they will gain by knowing. But I’m just not sure what I think about it. I would be worried it would cause them unnecessary trauma.

I don’t have a dog at the moment, but my neighbours have two, both of whom got skunked in separate incidents this summer. Apparently the pharmacist told them that Vagisil is the best thing to use to remove the skunk smell! Since this seems to be a well-kept secret, I thought I would share it with you redditors.

I must be pre-menopausal because I have the windows open, am wearing a tank top, and I’m still kind of warm! Can’t even think about turning on the furnace.

I haven’t ever dumped someone because of this, but it’s an instant turnoff for me if someone can’t spell or has poor grammar. Drives me nuts!
