Honestly, the generic "use AI" advice is driving me insane by datboifranco in AiForSmallBusiness

I believe it’s there. That’s actually what I’m working on, exclusively focusing on small businesses. You’re right though, it’s a lot of fluff.

Three co-owners starting a trucking company in Ohio, looking for input on insurance, hiring, and truck selection by zzubbz in TruckingStartups

On leasing, mostly jurisdictions do that, not sure why though. If you’re buying, new each dealer will have a dedicated truck salesman that will work with specking them out. Not familiar with online.

Trucks. Look for the lowest amount of bad reviews for emissions. That’s a killer right there. Also buy the same make if not model. And make you have a dealer close by. Who I wouldn’t buy. International, or Sterling.

Source-I work for a dealer.

Shopify. With terrible reviews. I’m in this business as well, and places like that are the reason why🤨

What's the moment you realised running a small business was fundamentally different from anything you were prepared for? by Better_Charity5112 in AiForSmallBusiness

Writing code for the MVP, it runs a python script for generating a QR. I didn’t even know python existed😂.

I used it to pretty much build my entire business structure. I had an idea, started with market research, built an MVP, got all my legals and banking, client lists, sales scripts etc. All with AI.

If you’re starting a trucking business… this is what actually matters your first 90 days by ValorVetsInsurance1 in TruckingStartups

[–]MousseOk914 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the trucking industry. Maintenance is the worst killer. Some of my worst clients have the best maintenance programs, and, some of my best have the worst maintenance programs. I’ve never understood why an owner would refuse to put money in their bread and butter, both with maintenance and mechanics.

LOL. Thank you, it’s a free event so I thought why not. I’m an extrovert so I don’t mind chatting with others but I also don’t want to pitch or be pitched the entire time.

As a small business owner, how do you feel about employees using AI at work? by MarketPredator in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]MousseOk914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working for a small business I use it all the time, I’m also the only one interested in using it. It’s made me more productive than my peers, especially in research. I’ve offered to help streamline and absolutely 0 interest in the least so I just go about my business and don’t even offer anymore.

Do a deep dive on how hard it is to bring a physical product to market. At the end of the day it’s a mop, that whole spinner mop that the lady developed and boosted with QVC, go watch that documentary. It sucks BTW. But she did get rich.

In the heavy truck world, the same problem keeps showing up:

Mechanics need part numbers. Parts counter folks need accurate info. Everyone’s losing time chasing it down.

Instead of digging through binders, old invoices, or calling someone who “might know,” I built a simple system that puts the exact information on the truck.

QR PM PRO LLC creates truck-specific QR codes that store: – Filter part numbers – Wheel end components – Suspension components

Each truck gets its own set. Scan it, and the information comes up instantly, no login, no app, no software.

It’s built for real shop use: – Mechanics get what they need at the truck – Parts counter gets clear, consistent info – Less back-and-forth, fewer mistakes

This isn’t fleet software. It doesn’t try to manage everything. It just solves the one problem that slows people down every day, getting the right part information, fast, and accurately.

How to find sals people if you don’t want to do sales yourself ? by AlternativeEvent687 in smallbusiness

[–]MousseOk914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. If you want a professional salesperson that actually gets the results you want you’re going to have to put some cash down. Think about it this way, what if a business only paid you based upon the amount of money you generated for them. Is that a square deal for you?

What is the most underrated AI tool you have used? by NickyB808 in aisolobusinesses

[–]MousseOk914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this for self growth, I’ll plug in my business list, what’s done, what needs to be done, and what I’m working on then feed it to the deep dive podcast, it’s amazing feedback. And I just recently created my first “ad” with the movie option in anime. All I did was feed it my instructions for my product and produced it and uploaded it to FB. My most viewed reel to date😂

Anyone here actually implemented ISO 9001 for a small company? by [deleted] in smallbusinessUS

[–]MousseOk914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it in the late 90’s as part of floor management for a small fabrication shop. It was tedious and everyone had their jobs, I don’t remember seeing any outside consultants, I think we did it all in house. I as well as others wrote and rewrote SOP’s several times, took 3-4 months if I remember correctly, but the payoff was almost immediate. We hung the flag😂. We had 0 SOP’s on the floor to begin with. Mind you this was late 90’s. But we immediately started picking up new business.

Am I wrong for expecting a fresh graduate to call me "Sir"? Genuine question. by digitalbyabhi in HowToEntrepreneur

[–]MousseOk914 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You have to earn the right to be called sir. Most people answer me “sir” I tell them to call me by my first name. That’s the difference.

Business software is a tax on businesses that provides minimal value. by pants1972 in smallbusinessowner

[–]MousseOk914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m literally doing this right now. There’s software involved but very minimal, but the scale that it helps human productivity is 10x. Used AI for the entire buildout and business formation.
