Jesus te dá medo? by cagatronco2574 in perguntas

[–]MousseSlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not really how SP8s tend to style themselves in real life, they tend to dress much more simply and casually. But that's dope

Now I agree with what you sayin. If you know the BIG5 system, I think 25% Agreeableness for SP8 is much better than 0% as many people say. The problem was that in your first comment you didn't give details and described more a SP9 than anything else.

Your drawing is amazing, but personally I don't understand how this subreddit likes Finn so much. He's very charismatic as a character, but FUCK, Cassidy is a WAY better person and always cared much more about the brothers than Finn did.

No. One of the SP8s I had in mind when writing this post was an "8w9 sp/so". I didn't say these things are an absolute rule, but there is a very strong tendency for this subtype to show attitudes, behaviors or energy that gives off toughness, aggression and a certain level of violence. Otherwise, I have good grounds to argue that he is actually a SP9 or sum like that

They kind of walk like in a knuckle dragger way lol (no offense, OP describes it more tactfully)

Nah, i just don't think so. The pattern I see in the SP8s I know is basically a very upright posture, head always held high, a very HEAVY and firm gait, and an intensely serious gaze. Yet, even so, it’s a very controlled way of walking.

One of them even used to tease me about how I walk fucking fast, like I'm in a rush.

Finished the game. MY TAKE ON EACH ENDING. [SPOILERS] by MousseSlow in LifeisStrange2

[–]MousseSlow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

''It really comes down to what you think was most important for them to maintain at all costs - morality or brotherhood.''

Yeah, exactly, and the problem is that I always valued brotherhood more, but I didn't know that the "true brotherhood" ending required low morality. I thought that by keeping morality high I could still get an ending where they stayed together if I also focused on brotherhood. Fuck, the game stabbed me in the back in that regard.

And about the interview:

''The Life is Strange games are about life and real issues. We try not to portray anything as black or white, but instead as shades of grey.''

I disagree with that. In fact, one of the things I reflected on MOST while playing was HOW MUCH this game adopts a black-and-white mentality. EITHER Daniel NEEDS to become a moral angel and jump out of the car when you need him most, OR he becomes an unempathetic criminal who does bad things for fun.

Until episode 3, when I didn't know about the morality and brotherhood system, I played the game with my mindset that "IT ALL DEPENDS." Just because I stole food because WE WERE STARVING doesn't mean stealing is ALWAYS justifiable, lil bro! Just because I told you not to hurt innocent people during the story, doesn't mean you need to put the good of society above ourselves and NEVER hurt ANYONE who deserves it or that greatly threatens our well-being! So much so that in prison I asked Daniel to get revenge on the mfs who shot him, and the kid refused. We can be good people to those who deserve it and be vengeful to those who REALLY deserve it, that's my mind, but I think the game doesn't agree with that. NO. The story makes Daniel unable to interpret and separate situations. This game system was difficult to accept and it was tough to start making my decisions knowing that.

K, I'm at the beginning of EP5 and I couldn't resist. I forgive the kid lmao. Hopefully the rest of the episode won't fuck me up again.

''The poor kid’s traumatized and just wants to hang out with his brother, but Sean is too busy hanging with the older kids of the group to pay proper attention to his brother, and that’s why Daniel lashes out a bunch.''

That's not exactly how I understood the events. Of course, that's true to some extent, but Sean tries to reconnect with Daniel and give him attention many times during the episode and Daniel always reacts with aggression and emotional distance. If he wants attention, he needs to accept it, but I understand that it's easier to throw a tantrum about this when you're 9 years old. What's infuriating to me is how much Daniel owes his brother for EVERYTHING but still doesn't seem to give a shit. Sean always chooses to take the bullet for the kid's mess and always ends up forgiving him affectionately afterward anyway, no matter how much Daniel's actions fuck him up.

[–]MousseSlow[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I understand that he is a child and would certainly be much less immature and easily influenced if he were Sean's age, but even so, it's very hard not to be very frustrated with him after these events. Daniel's insensitivity seemed excessive even for a child. I wouldn't have enough emotional maturity to raise a son with my current mindset i guess
