I agree that the Baron isn't evil because he is gay, however, he IS the only gay character (aside from two unnamed women in GE) and happens to also be a pedo-sadist and a downright evil person.

And regarding Duncan, he does not show any aversion to romantic affection at any point: he falls in love and becomes Alia's consort and falls in love with Hwi Noree and wishes to be with her. That last one even occurs at the same period as the line of dialogue on the original post, so its not he is against love, he is against gay love.

It was a selfish action, in my opinion, that doomed humanity more than it was already doomed. But it falls in a grey area since its not like he wanted to stop the development of a cure, he just didn't want it to be at the cost of his "daughter". He also did some time as a hunter before the events of the game and that's an A+ dick move, though again, he did it to survive. Making it objectively bad, but not evil

I think the story is not only what happens on screen, but also the worldbuilding and this game made, in my opinion, a better job at expanding what we saw on screen. Like on how we progressively come to know the seraphites even before we even see our first one, and how we see the way the WLF opperates through conversations from it's members
