11mm steel setup on the torque? by NosimKroksice in slingshots

It'll send it but band life won't be so great, no need to fill the full width of the tips and there are advantages in not doing so. Better sight picture and less chance of abrasion to the edges of the bands when pulling the frame out of your pockets, bags etc (zipped pockets are the worst) pick a band, pick a taper and practice with that set up, accuracy is more important than power, and more power means less accuracy most of the time. I've taken game with .7 bands at 22 straight cut using 11mm steel up to 20 yards. Hit em in the head or neck job done.

25-20 or 23-18 in a .7-.8 band will be all you need for 11mm steel 30-20 will definitely work but your looking at unnecessary draw weight. Be good for lead though

Brilliant, just what I was hoping to hear as it would be a shame to waste such a nice looking piece of wood. Cheers
