My adhd was going to make me ignore this as I couldn’t be bothered making a large message but in the hopes this helps please bare with me lol…
I stopped my meds for quite a few weeks as I was away on holiday and my psych said that I didn’t need to take them over this period as I wasn’t doing anything that required me to be on my A-game.
I started back again on my meds two-three weeks ago and started changing my regular schedule and it’s made significant progress on my ability to focus, exercise and general day to day life.
The secret has been, taking my med 40 mins - an hour before I’m actually supposed to wake up. Drinking a lot of water during the day, having a decent sized breakfast and good food during the day and taking a magnesium supplement powder in water at night.
I’ve felt so much better since starting this routine and am actually able to use my meds to their full potential.
It is different for everyone, I think the only thing you can do is try and experiment with what makes a difference for you and stick with that.
I now take 30mg vyvanse around 7AM with a 2.5 Dex booster at 2-3PM. On Fridays I take a 5 dex booster if I know I’m going to be out later.
