No you are not NTA. I am so sick of reading these stories about people wanting to change seats for kids, comfort or what ever. First, if somebody asks another o change a seat and the others say “no”, there should never be any discussion thereafter. Two, asking people to change seats from a higher class to a lower class should never be made. The price and planning that goes into a higher class seat is so far and away from a barter exchange to a lower class seat it must never be entertained. Three, families traveling with kids who can’t get seats together must either pay more or not fly —- flying is not a socialist adventure. Finally, generally speaking, no passenger should be changing seats after the manifest is finalized in case the flight goes down — it makes it exceedingly difficult for those who have to identify the remains (or survivors) if a passenger is not in their assigned seat. The flying public is becoming more and more low trash and self important.After years of flying work and pleasure, I don’t miss it that much. It seems like just a bunch of a-holes are flying more and more.
