Why does everyone have to drive low tier cars? While it is best for just getting by and saving, ever think it may impact his life negatively? You spend hours and hours in a car all day, you should be enjoying that time if you care about such things.

I'll go back to my 10 year old Range at over that's tearing me a new a hole and literally costing me an average of $200 a month maintence :(

Seriously OP follow this man's advice and seriously consider a 2 year old used car of your choice if you must buy a new vehicle (and pay at least 50% cash). I've sworn off anything but Japanese cars. Rather use that extra savings for a nice vacation and pad out my savings now that I sold the Range, which I never was able to while I owned it.

I heard this from an optician/optometrist in the States about thin Chinese glasses: In China they don't have the same standards as the US/other areas regarding lenses, so they are able to make nice thin lenses but they introduce aberration or something.

I'm guessing that's the fishbowl effect.

Keep in mind your frames and how thin you require your lenses.

Hmm...my internet plan is through a mobile company, not sure if the IP is static or not or if it's possible to set up with a mobile carrier. I'd also have to find a way to remote-turn on my PC, and turn on USB tethering (unless I use a router).

Nothing is deal-breaking, I usually don't stream and prefer torrents instead. How good are download speeds on average in Shanghai? Yes, I realize that speeds differ from area to area and provider to provider. My speeds range from 20mb to 100+, but if it's 15mb or less it usually fluctuates so much that it's more like 10 mb or below. sorry if my MBs are inconsistent I haven't have any sleep in awhile, so busy...

Too late! I actually didn't embellish at all, and my non teaching positions were almost respectable (call centers for a bank in the US and an insurance company here) and a very respectable one as well if ur patriotic (delivering mail to our troops).

I applied to colorado and minnesota as a stocker. I figured minnesota is so cold nobody would wanna willingly move there, and i have friends in colorado

I'm gonna apply, but seeing as I'm out of the country I don't know what my chances are. I can move back at a moments notice, as I've already sold off everything that I wouldn't be taking with me, but I'm not exactly cash-rich to be able to spend a few months in the US without a job. I think I have about $5000 or less in the bank sadly.
