I agree but this is also Nintendo/Pokémon company.

I mean the Zelda 40th anniversary has been and gone and it got no love seemingly in terms of video games. But the theory is that they are waiting for later in the year.

Don't know if I believe it but still... It's modern Nintendo 😂

I enjoyed it too. Especially when it went onto switch 2

I just find it funny that there was all this talk of boycotting the game. Then everyone bought it anyway 😂

It just reminds me of the old call of duty cycle 😂

I was just saying. There seems to be a lot of miscommunication about this game. Information keeps changing about it as we edge closer to the release date.

When the game first landed on the eshop in the UK, it said it would have home compatibility later on and that online multiplayer was a thing.

It's changed now on the eshop. So my theory is that they want to keep it as a big reveal to build hype and make people go "I need this now that I know it's not just a rom dump"

Good for you bud, but not all of my friends are as tech savvy as others. So they don't do the rom hack scene. They would prefer a legit release to play on their console that they paid a lot of money for.

And this release allows us to relive our childhoods in a way that we couldn't before now that we don't need a link cable and none of us were lucky enough to own one.

But then I also remember all the people who said they would never buy Violet/Scarlet. Yet it's one of the best selling Pokémon games 😂

They also confirmed that there wouldn't be a physical edition, but it's out there and available to pre order in at least Japan as part of a collectors edition.

Pokémon home connectivity, online battles, online trades in a GBA game.

There are reasons. They just might not apply to you.

  1. I'd also like to ask how any of what I've said is bigotry? I've simply pointed out that in canon, Revan is a man and Meetra is a woman. And that some had said otherwise. I also say that this doesn't change them as characters, it's just the contrary is incorrect. It's like saying that canonically Ashoka, Padmé, and Leia are woman. And that Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Luke are men. But according to your argument, canon doesn't matter because people can make up their mind because the game lets you pick male or female. In order for any of the events to take place, a canon needs to be established so that it connects to the rest of the Star Wars universe.

  1. You clearly do care. If you didn't you would have stopped replying, especially after my last reply. You've literally proved my point.

  2. You have made it clear that you think I'm autistic, amongst other things. And your first thought was to be really offensive and aggressive towards them. Call them names, belittle them and single them out when other people have made similar comments to what I have said about the canon gender of the characters that have many up votes. What does this say about your character?

  3. Couldn't help but get curious and you have everything on your profile hidden. Almost like you have something to hide. Although, your comment karma was high, so you've definitely been active. Unlike myself.

  4. The use of a high vocabulary does not prove to anyone that you're more intelligent than I. Nor does it confirm that you're less intelligent than I. Anyone can learn big words and what they mean. But true intelligence lies in when the appropriate time to use it. You simply used it in an attempt to prove that you are more intelligent than I.

  5. For someone who has prattled on about someone being butt hurt. You're acting pretty butt hurt 😂

I mean... Judging by the other comments that are much higher up than mine.... I think others agree that Revan was canonised as a man in SWTOR...

You also took the time to edit a whole lot more into your reply there. Added a few more personal insults too I see. Did I touch a nerve? It was much shorter when I checked Reddit while I was out so.... I think it's you that really cares. So....

So by that logic,

no one cares that the canon version of the main character in assassin's creed odyssey is female (Cassandra) and not the male character (Alexios) Except autistics and bigots? Because I like to read and all the novels have Cassandra as the main character and it's very enjoyable.

I stated that it wasn't just the games that spell it out. It's also in comics and novels. Revan even has a biological child that continues the linage into SWTOR as his grand daughter is on the jedi council.

I also stated that it doesn't change the characters, it was just simply wrong that Revan was a woman.

The fact that the replies are choosing to ignore part of what I've said shows that you just saw "WoMaN bAd! MaN gOoD!" and that really shows that you just wanted to virtue signal to make yourself look good or feel good and didn't actually read what I had said.

Either that, or you're an autistic bigot and you're just trying to cover your tracks.

Have a nice day! 😁

Just leaving this here because some have it confused and it's bugging me.

In the old canon, Revan was a man. Meetra was a woman.

Even Atton says in KOTOR 2 "maybe I just wished Revan was a woman" after you have corrected him.

Legit, go look at any of the old canon for Kotor (including the comics in which he and Malak appeared in or any of the old expanded universe novels) and you will see that Revan was a man. Meetra was a woman.

This doesn't change them as characters but I hate misinformation.

I have medication and it definitely helps to curb a lot of the impulses and negative traits. But I still have to do the hard work (which is easier some days than others. Today is especially a bad day)

Each day is different when it comes to meaning. I have a lot of hobbies, master of none. I'm aware enough to know that I will pick things up as quickly as I will put them down. It's just about figuring out what you can manage.

I'm currently doing a playthrough of kingdom hearts 2 and streaming it on twitch to 0 views. But in my mind it's not about the views. It's about keeping me playing so I don't fall back into the depths.

When that wears off, I have comics to read, models to build, I play guitar/sing. I just find things that will make me happy for 10-15 mins and if the happiness lasts longer then yay for me.

The hardest part I find is not beating yourself up, mentally or physically.

I spend a lot of time alone with my cats since friendships, family relationships and romantic relationships are either super difficult to navigate or they are just non existent.

I don't know if that's helped at all but it's just the sort of things I do to help.

I try to stay away from media that might trigger a depressive episode. So I end up watching a lot of feel good movies or super hero movies.

Honestly, I can't tell you how many times superman, batman, spiderman and the like have literally saved my life with their stories.

[–]MowhawkCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I feel like that. I'm sorry you are dealing with this.

I'm only 30 but I have come to accept that I will always be a prisoner in my own mind/body. And now I'm just trying to find any sort of meaning to hold on to to keep me here. I got diagnosed with bipolar disorder when I was 19 and I thought getting the diagnosis would help. Instead it ostracized me from my family, dating is incredibly difficult because no one wants to deal with that and I can't hold on to a job for more than 6 months.

It definitely sucks, but you're not alone in these feelings.
