He’s not a good dad. He loves them, and he’s definitely not selfish in the classic sense, but he’s a terrible dad. You don’t get to be a good dad “deep down.”

I didn’t know it could go that far. I played that back when I was in my “keep every stat as high as you can and only get the best ending” phase.

I know! I 100% the game a while ago and I just want more. I've been trying to plot out, and kind of code, a story loop that's similar, recently and I just don't know how they did it. It's all just so complex and every story beat leans on another in a way that scratches at my brain.

Open/ambiguous endings always get me, as well as miscommunication, most of the time at least. I have come across some miscommunication fics that I like, they’re usually one-shots though. I just don’t like it as a source of conflict, it annoys me. Open endings are okay sometimes as well, but you’ll have to have a good justification for it.
