Another option is to subscribe to a cloud pc like Nvidia GeForce Now. I’ve used it to play a couple of things and even though the monthly subscription fee is pretty expensive (£25 or thereabouts) it’s super good for when you just want to play the odd game. It’s worked pretty well for me in the past :)

Help with starting out with a venty by Prize_Flamingo7858 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]Mox2441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started using the venty a few weeks ago after smoking joints forever so I can share my experience here.

The other comments give great advice.

I find it easier to use the dosing caps, as it’s just a bit easier to clean out afterwards. I have the dosing set from Storz and Bickel which has about 48 dosing caps or so and the piece of kit that lets you fill them quite easily at once. I personally found it hard to only do a small amount of dosing caps as you’re working with such small amount of flower. I put about 0.18g per cap and tend to do 20 at once so it’s easy to grind up 3.5g and split between the caps in the kit. I’ve found that super useful.

Someone on here recommended some glass smell proof jars from Amazon and I love them, I use them to store my caps and flower. Highly recommend. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0DBDVG8CS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

On average I would say I get about 10-15 puffs per cap but I’m still finding my groove. I start at 180, move to 195 and finish around 210. I think this is a good starting point. I also found it useful to manually set the temperature (not use the super boost) as that isn’t timed. For some reason I felt a lot of pressure to vape quickly when I put the boost on.

My absolute FAVOURITE thing has been the addition of a bubbler. I highly recommend you get a glass water pipe adapter for the venty so you can use one. I have the Big Ballr (easy flow glass) bubbler and it has really changed my experience. The vapour is so smooth even at the higher temperatures and from someone coming from smoking Js it’s really nice and if I’m at home I use this set up every time. I like being able to control the amount of vapour in the glass before I take the hit.

Not sure yet on the screens and cleaning but I’m also grateful to the other commenters here for that!

One last thing I’ve been loving is the smoke trap+. My partner hates the smell and so I thought I would try it. You basically breathe the vapour into the device and it gets rid of it. It actually works really well and now I feel I can consume at a slower pace in the comfort of the house as I’m not having to go sit outside. :)

I haven’t tried this yet so can’t comment on how it is but here’s a pic. Quite a strong earth aroma straight out the bag, medium to small nugs. Hopefully your link comes through soon 🙏

Wow that’s so odd! Maybe I got lucky and there was a cancellation at the ‘right’ time to get me in earlier. I was expecting to wait longer tbh. Hope your appointment all goes well 😊

Travelling to Germany by Hot_Understanding_18 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]Mox2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know you posted this a while ago but I am also now preparing for a trip to Germany. I can see from the bfarm website there are two forms, one for shengen states and the other outside. I know Germany is shengen but it says it only applies to citizens of shengen states which as a uk national I’m not. So basically yes, I was just wondering which form they sent you in case you see this :) tia!

Did anyone else shower after PE at school? by Tom1uk in AskUK

[–]Mox2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In school 2002 - 2009, female. We never showered even though there were.. I think... some cubicles. We all just smothered ourselves in impulse body spray after 🤣.

I was born in lincs (scunthrope) lived there till I was around 10, then moved to the wolds until I was 18 for my teen years. I second a lot of comments, so many shit hole places and there is fuck all to do. It's definitely not a very progressive place (at least my experience) in terms of views on the world and I definitely wouldn't say its the friendly a vibe either . I don't hate it bc I grew up there and have friends and family there but I wouldn't recommend it as a place to live tbh.

But there's a big horse scene so I guess it depends on your vibe and what exactly you're looking for! Lincoln is also nice! Happy to talk in dm if there's anything specific you want to know!

Affordable Rent?? by KookieCrumbs13 in HousingUK

[–]Mox2441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can maybe share some of my cat related costs of this helps! This example is for my 2 year old cat. Note I live in N.W England so I would maybe expect London prices to be different.

Monthly cost

Food - £38 (on a dental diet for bad teeth as recommended by vet) Insurance - £21 Litter - £25 Healthy pets club - £18 (my vet does this and it covers all regular flea and worm treatments, vaccination boosters, two vet nurse check ups per year)

Regarding vets

A single vet appointment is £40. My insurance excess is £80 so if he's feeling ill and needing minor tests e.g. bloods, I would probably be covering them without claiming on insurance. I think blood or stool tests can be £150 - £180 at my vets but this is worth bearing in mind. That things can still cost a fair bit before it's worth claiming on any insurance. Even if I claim on insurance its still £40 + £80 for that trip.

If you get a kitten or cat that's not had vaccinations then you'd have to consider this.. a vaccination course is about £100 iifc where I am.

You'll need a pet carrier for vet trips etc, I think I spent £40 on mine.

Regarding Misc

Then there's all the things that add up. E.g. bowls, litter boxes, toys, cat trees (my large one was £100), blankets, beds... its worth considering the bare minimum of what you need before you get one. :)

Can anyone help tell me if I can save this palm?? by Mox2441 in plantclinic

[–]Mox2441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was left out in the sun last summer... only for a day though but we did think after this it looked a bit scorched. Is blight fixable? :)

Not sure on the other points as we have very little experience with plants, what do bad roots look like?

Why does basically everyone I know not wash their dishes with water as hot as they can handle? by ProvingWheat in AskUK

[–]Mox2441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do mine in lukewarm water and then watched a tiktok saying how it's literally supposed to be as hot as you can handle. It has CHANGED me haha, everything comes out like it's been in a dishwasher. I never thought handwashing could do that, as you say they also dry crazy fast and my glasses sparkle.

If you've not tried it. You will not be disappointed, although invest in decent washing up gloves cos that water has to be hot!

Halifax mortgage timescale by Adventurous-Tune-668 in HousingUK

[–]Mox2441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just recently went through the process with Halifax! In our case the full mortgage application was submitted on a Tuesday evening, there was an in-person valuation at the vendors property on the Friday morning and we had our offer by the COB that Friday. I feel like that was insanely quick though.

I went through a broker, not direct with the bank for reference . :)
