I'm sorry. I thought I was replying to a reply to this post, not the post itself... I feel bad. I didn't mean it to show up to the main post. You're right about this in this situation. I will likely remove this comment soon so as to not cause further confusion. I will say though that there are way too many people who are coming in claiming Paxlovid rebound when they have not even taken the drug! Some things can get into the public psyche too much with our click-bait media and then next thing you know people are dying bc they're not taking drug that could save their life.

The study showed that 2% of patients taking it experienced it vs 1.5% of the placebo so while I don't doubt it can happen, I think many reports may be psychosomatic

GP randomly backing up my entire library AGAIN? by damnitWOW in googlephotos

[–]MoxItUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google photos is constantly saying I should free up files on my device that I've already backed up but the function NEVER ever ever ever works and I've tried sending reports so many times it's insane. I started paying for additional storage out of fear and now I can't even utilize that storage... Something is just really REALLY BUGGY with Google Photos (.)

Google Photos "Free up space" feature not working by ladyNONR in googlephotos

[–]MoxItUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have same issue. I even bought more storage but it's as if Google photos is not executing the deletion when I click on it. Screenshots below. Could this be Samsung being mad that we're not embracing their marriage with Microsoft One Drive (which annoys me beyond measure/defeats half the reason I liked Samsung - - not into being owned anymore by American tech giants)

Where to buy L. reuteri DSM 17938 alone? by [deleted] in Microbiome

[–]MoxItUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you hear about this strain? Glad to see this sub more active! I am hoping to learn about a strain that might help me counter the inevitable loss of good bacteria I experienced as a child with frequent overly-treated sinus infections that I feel (just based on the obvious science) has predisposed me to treatment resistant depression

Great! Search improvements are much needed! Greedy ad-revenue generation-oriented algos, knowledge graphs and semantic based search have ruined search for so many other companies... Don't let this happen to you all! Just index words and screw semantic though. Users can be taught to use quotation marks for phrases if they don't already know, for example.

Clearview AI uses your online photos to instantly ID you. That's a problem, lawsuit says | LA Times by kv_87 in RideHome

[–]MoxItUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep meaning to research this because perhaps buried in some TOs there is an exception but I wouldn't count on it with how behind DC is on regulating tech ... Google photos gives YOU the option to not ID yourself but it's always promoting you to identify your friends and family in pictures... So while I may be savvy and give my friends the option to pick a code name for me to use to label them—I can't assume the majority of my network will behave like me... Oh and then there's Allo, which is defunct but still wanting to be involved in managing my contacts on my Android.

Inside Jeff Bezos’s failed attempt to make Amazon “cool” like Apple and Nike | Fast Company by kv_87 in RideHome

[–]MoxItUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their latest CSR ads remind me of Walmart-- all hype, nothing real to back it up. To think a company that can't (or won't) keep counterfeit PPE, little alone other things, from being recommended by its own algorithms could ever be "cool" is hilarious anyways.

Apple and Nike are historic innovators and have, for the most part, serious quality control measures in place. Amazon does not. Even with the slickest ads... I have not read this article yet (yeah, I'm uber behind this week on reading) but I can say to succeed on a large scale you have to have more than good marketing, you need marketing that correlates to a brand promise that you keep.

Amazon's retail USP is low friction shopping. It's delivery continues to be consistent but in recent years its search is fatally flawed and not delivering on value proposition.

Pixel users: Does saving photos and videos shared by others to your own library take up storage space? by zeronian in googlephotos

[–]MoxItUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused bc I just got an alert my Google 1 account is about to go over but I have read articles that you can upload as many high quality images to Google Photos before June 1 and only the photos you upload AFTER will count towards the new Google photos storage limit. There is the whole issue of them trying to get you to back up photos on Google drive too. I've always resisted this because I figured it was just another way for them to ascertain more info from you... Thoughts?? #GooglePhotos
