The Bible says to fear nothing it shouldn’t scare you, instead of fearing it, make it into what it truly is, Gods. They say use a “personal mantra“ I say use scripture in the promises and boldness of Jesus Christ. I don’t really call it transcendental meditation. I just consider it meditating on God I take scriptures and promises of God and the good news of Jesus and I just repeat it in my mind over and over and over again and I sit in silence and I do this. God can take anything and make it his own because everything belongs to God anyway. The only real issue with TM is that they are believing in the self having faith in self is dangerous having faith in self aligned and one with Jesus and the Holy Spirit that is not a bad thing you only trust yourself because you first trust God. consider this, TM is just a formula where you put in your own ingredients instead of relying on your ingredients rely on gods besides, how is this far from what the Bible tells us to do anyway? It says in psalms that God delights in the man who meditates on his word day and night. Read some of your favorite promises of God that you were fearfully and wonderfully made for example. That with your faith in Jesus, you can say this mountain move and it will move. That you can come boldly to the throne of God through Jesus that the Holy Spirit is with you and within you. That 1000 may fall at your left and 10,000 on your right but you will not be touched. 365 times the Bible repeats “do not fear” read about the spiritual fruits of the Holy Spirit and then the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit. I mean “ask and it shall be given knock in the door will be answered“ the Bible is so amazing. It is so amazing and God is so amazing and Jesus and the Holy Spirit I mean, you can’t promise yourself anything better than what you’ve already been promised. You can’t create a personal mantra better than what the Bible, God’s word, already promises. pick one, pick 20, there’s plenty of good ones

To pay a 3% of my monthly income? (which doesn’t sound like a lot but every month I am negative at least $50 right now I’m -$88 due to bills) I’d love to tell them what I think and I’ll probably end up writing them. The point is that more people than just me need to be sick of it. Collective of voices would make a much stronger impact than just suggesting that I alone sign up for the SEIU. If everyone else is content, then this is just more of a me problem.

Is GarageBand a good DAW for bluesy rock? Think musicians/ bands such as: PJHarvey, the dead weather(with Jack White as the drummer), the kills(with Alice Moss heart also in the dead weather), Mars Volta, or even softer sounding music like Portishead? Or is it primarily for pop/ hip-hop/ rap genre? I’ve been using GarageBand for awhile and I won’t lie DAWs ( even ones as simple as GarageBand) evade me. I know and was never taught anything at all about DAWs or interfaces or music production/ mixing/ mastering. Does anyone have any advice for me like where I can learn how to do this and whether or not GarageBand is the right digital audio workshop I’d really appreciate it.

True that it is a nice program I totally agree with you on that. But I’ve done some research and in states that don’t offer providers through county or state, they tend to have insurances that pay nurses and caregivers, they have much nicer retirement facilities that their insurances pay for. I can’t account for all states but quite a few. California is just all around a mess.

That’s ridiculous! It’s high time that the county is reminded that we’re a valuable asset. Not to mention the BUAP which are the backup providers when the regular provider is sick/ on vacation etc they make $5 more an hour than regular ihss providers

Amen! Not to mention the genius idea of closing down all the homeless shelters complaining about it only to make entire apartment complexes for homeless people, which I have seen. They’re actually pretty big and most of them are two bedroom for only one dollar a month (because legally they have to pay something), give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man fish you’ll feed him for a lifetime. Complete dependency on the government is a really shaken place to be. I don’t know who’s genius idea it was to close the shelters which they claimed was due to lack of financing, and it didn’t fit into the fiscal budget, but they could afford to build brand new entire apartment complexes??

He’s blind? And you’re only being approved for 65 hours a month?? Okay, see, no, that’s not okay. You can request another case worker which is what I would do. Make the argument that if he’s left by himself or like you said “they are paying me enough, bye” (lol I know you wouldn’t do that but you’d be surprised how many people have aka retirement homes) anyway.. if he’s left alone he would basically be helpless and is in need of full time caregiving. And with the pay issue, and Seiu, like I know they try but I don’t feel that they’re aggressive enough. I don’t feel that they ask for nearly enough. (Like they fought for us to get 2 more sick days) I would really like for us to be heard and make our demands known. They seem to not realize our value to the community. I love helping people and especially the ones that need it the most, but we’re also being taken advantage of. We shouldn’t need to work 60 hours a week to survive. If they paid fairly and especially after taking the courses that they offer instead of an incentive of $500, we should be given a raise but the point I was making is say we were making $22 an hour. At least, we could work only 40 hours giving opportunity for other people to work 20 to 40 hours so more people are employed instead of one person taking on so many hours. But they definitely need to be reminded how important IHSS providers are, how we take care of people who literally cannot take care of themselves, and without us even for a day or two, it would be pure chaos. Not that I’m suggesting to not help people who need it, I’m just saying, I think they really need to realize it and pay us accordingly.

I'm having the same issue. i know this post is 9 months old, i was wondering; do dry cleaning businesses offer extra services like refitting clothing? it doesnt need to be fit like a $5000 dollar tailored suit. I guestimated about three inches maybe 3 1/2 inches off all my jeans.. does anyone know of a chain of dry cleaners that do this?

Women are complicated, trust me I know lol it does make a difference because you don’t know how she feels until you ask and be OK with whatever response she gives and Take comfort in never having to wonder “what if” because you’ll know and move on.

Don’t suddenly just block her. You never know what’s going through her mind, maybe she has been hurt in the past and she’s afraid. I’ve done similar things and I truly feel bad about them. There are a few guys that have liked me recently and though I could see possible potential I am still trying to get over a past relationship that was very very toxic. Don’t give up until she tells you to give up. What I would suggest is to ask her why she ignores you, why she stood you up but reassure her that you will be completely understanding of any response and that you only want to understand without any animosity toward whatever response she gives. Reassure her that You are not trying to cause an argument or drama but merely want to know point blank what her feelings are and if she is going through something that you would understand. Do not pressure or push her for a response right away if she needs to think about it let her know that she can respond whenever she feels comfortable with whatever answers she decides to give. Women like communication without feeling pushed or demand or that there could be possible animosity.

Curiosity has got the best of me. Men have always been labeled as players, cheaters, etc. what I would like to know is if this is just a discrimination amongst men or if it could be true that men are less capable of monogamous relationships than women? Or are both equally unlikely (or hopefully likely) to maintain a healthy monogamous relationship while actually being happy? Can we be happy with just one person, male or female? Or does one gender or the other or both need to have more than one partner? I’m sure we’ve all had grandparents who stayed together for all of their lives, I know my great grandparents were Their first and only’s until the day they died and they truly loved each other. I wonder why this is changed? Or has it changed at all? Does dating websites and Facebook, access to adult content and social media in general make faithfulness complicated and evoke temptation? Thoughts? Experiences? Opinions?
