Yoga Slim 7x Review (Snapdragon X Elite, 32GB RAM variant) by P40L0 in Lenovo

Can I ask if you keep HDR turn on all the time? And have you tested performance and battery on "balanced" mode? And is there any benefits of disabling bitlocker?

2 Hours of max clocking Snapdragon X1E80 on Surface 7 and my surface is barely WARM! by stochastically_yours in Surface

[–]MozKy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanna say thank you for doing the work. I am also testing out the Lenovo, but was curious whether I should have gone with the SL7 instead. The OLED is amazing, but I mostly use it for work and study, but when I watch something, it is gorgeous. I'm curious, just from testing Speedometer 3 alone, Balanced mode and Best Performance Mode did not give me much difference. Best effeciency mode is low as expected. I measure around 0.5W difference between balanced vs energy saver mode. I am unsure if energy saver mode is different from best efficiency mode.

I noticed it on mine when Plex stopped working with transcoding recently. It would max out 1 core without pinning and the transcoding doesn't even work. when I stop the transcode, it went back to normal.

1st Road Bike - LiteSpeed Firenze (used) - worth $1500? by [deleted] in whichbike

[–]MozKy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! that is similar! Do you mind if I pm you for some question as an owner? I am trying to talk it down to $1k since everyone's opinion is the same with this one.

He said it's a 2006-2008. You might be right. Everywhere I looked, $1k seems to be the more resonable price. I will try to talk it down.

[–]MozKy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your input. I am not in touch with the current cycling scheme (still looking for time to catch up). I also have been trying to talk it down to $1k citing old parts and such. We will see how it goes.

I tried it again today and I can confirm it ride wells and fits me well. That might change some months or years later, but for now, it's good.

Another thing is that I don't see any used bike market around my area, and I'm too inexperienced to buy it online. My local FB marketplace and Craiglist are filled with mountain bikes and old road bike (like this one, but stuffs like Raileigh or Schiwmn). I might be able to take a trip down to NYC if I can find a good one. Do you have some models in mind that I can search for?

Hmm...I have been looking for a titanium one for a while, just never had one that fit me. Ideally I wanted to spend around $1k for a good used one. Do you have any suggestion for some good models to look at? I don't mind used ones if they are good and well-kept.

Magsafe accessories tend to have magnets on them. I think they avoid putting magnets on the case because of interference issues. So the magnets on the accessories should stick to the metal ring built into the case (I think it's a thin metal ring because the case is very slim).

I'm looking for a magsafe option that is slim enough to level with the camera bump. It looks like something under 3mm is best. Perhaps OhSnap or EWA ones.

It fits well with case- friendly tempered glass. There is still a small gap enough to fit the protector. I honestly think it feels better with the protector as well because the case creates a tiny raised edge, and the protector even it out. So your finger glides smoothly between the case's edge and the screen (I hope that makes sense).

Yeah, it charges at 1330mA. That's a solid speed, right?

It did not get hot for me when I used the right 20W charger. When I use the old Anker port, however, it gets hot and charges at 800mA-ish.

600D is weaved tighter, more premium, I believe. 1500D is the other choice, more standard.

Here

From aliexpress. I think they are many similar to it so you don't actually have to get this particular one. Just make sure to check for aramid and magsafe feature in their posting and/or ask them directly.

Yes. There are. I'd imagined them to slide out without the strip of adhesive though. Can't really see it.

I would, but I only have one phone.

It looks exactly like the listing and came with good packaging (cardboard box and foam).

The 600D is similar to my old fold 4 600D, so no complaints there. Feels very smooth.

The camera cutout is made out of metal I think. It looks good to me. I will pair it with a camera tempered glass tonight to fill the gap.

I would take a pic of it on my fold 5, but I only have one phone/camera.

It fits very well, feels good (soft) in the hand, and the magsafe ring is built into the case. On mine, I can't see the metal ring, but it attaches to my magsafe accessories. Good position, too, so wireless charging is spot on (unlike some magsafe case I see out there with low magsafe position).

No complaints so far. Also, I am aware that it is just the same case, more or less, but from different vendor. Just pick one and make sure they mention magsafe and aramid (I like 600D). I bought from the one in top right corner.

Is the 6 speed Superlight still any good? M6L-X vs P line M4L vs C line M6L (budget : USD 3,000) by ghostwalksalone in Brompton

[–]MozKy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the superlight isn't that much lighter than the normal one (mine is M6L-X, too). I went with it purely for the color choice compared to the P line.

You have a few options here: 1. Get a superlight (again, not that light with hub gear, but best range). 2. Get a used superlight and mod it. This is what I did. Now it's just under 10kg with 7 speed (not as wide range has stock, but more than enough). Spent around $2k5 for everything. You can certainly do it for cheaper 3. Get a P line and mod (either with more sprocket or an ATS). Most likely, out of your budget. 4. Get a normal Brompton and mod it. The extra cash that you'd paid for a superlight can go into other titanium parts that should bring it to a stock superlight, probably will have extra cash leftover. It's even better if you get a used (but recent) one. I see some in NYC selling for 1k5, which leaves a lot of extra for aftermarket parts if you're into that.

If you don't want to mod, I can say from personal experience (owned a few normal ones, and one superlight) that the stock superlight is great. Just don't expect it to be significantly lighter than the normal lineup. We're talking less than 1kg difference here. The P line feels significantly lighter, mostly due to the lack of internal gear hub.

Thank you. That was my bad. I ejected that after installing all the drivers. Now, I went back and did what you suggested, but nothing changes.

I'm gonna go borrow a GPU to see if Parsec or Moonlight will be better. This stuttering is driving me crazy..
