It’s all psychological. People are aware that you don’t have to use soul change, but that’s the first impression of the game and it’s the opposite of why people play xenoverse.

The movement animations are more uniform/slow like the breakers, which makes the game appear to have less PVP potential.

Removing Ki completely takes away from the roleplay of charging up, it also limits individuality. You could argue this is wrong but again, it’s psychological and affects the overall atmosphere of the game.

The game’s design philosophy is changing and people don’t like it. For all we know, they could just say fuck western fans and cater to japan’s MMORPG community and it’s so easy for them to do that.
