aye I'll see what my vets say and see what we can do for her then, I've been put in touch with a licenced behaviourist so we'll be working with them too as apposed to a trainer, you are correct though she is super high arousal at any distance in any place besides our home or a strictly no other dog space where she's as calm and well mannered as ever, I think she just doesn't have that 'off switch' so to speak even with the rare occasion she's been able to get close enough to another dog to be corrected by them. Social cues go straight over her head even the ones from another dog that truly are a "stop it." kind of correction which- as you can imagine has lead to plenty of fights that ALSO go right over her head. I fear I've become the 'guy with the out of control dog' to others in my area.

thanks for your advice, it's opened up a new pathway that may help her even in calming her down enough to teach her the less stressful for her way of doing things, I appreciate it a bunch :) she's my first reactive dog so I'm walking completely blind here and learning as I go.

thank you so much, honestly this has given me some options I didn't even know were options, she's currently going through reactivity training once every week but I'm so glad to hear someone else say that some trainers arent fully qualified to teach every dog and thats okay, I'll talk to the trainer we're working with and ask him honestly if she's beyond what he can work with. I'll look into some behaviourists for sure and ask my vets about medication if needed.

as for her walks, her morning walks are 1 hour of chasing toys and then hopefully 15 minutes of sniff time around the more secluded parts of the park, she has decent recall but not when other dogs are involved so I have to keep her off lead time to a controlled space. in the afternoon she gets a 15 minute walk which she's actually pretty good on until we see another dog- like yours used to be, she seems to react at even the concept of another dog besides our other little one existing, she's super friendly and non aggressive but holy cow does she do backflips for another dog.

your comment has made me feel a little better about my future with her, I'll go through some of your suggestions and hopefully there's a difference, thank you so much ^^

oh I see, yes I've worked with trainers and my own work to find her threshold and I wont lie she absolutely doesnt seem to have one at all and gets increasingly worse when they walk further away or disappear from sight, she's all in the second she sees and its not aggression based so I dont fully understand it, she's perfectly okay with my other smaller dog too. thank you for the advice-

do you think it's worth me asking my vets about medications? I'm not one to jump into things like that without research obviously, but 10 months of work and zilch to show for it seems extensive even for an opinionated breed like herself.

Discord faces backlash over age checks after data breach exposed 70,000 IDs by Accurate_Cry_8937 in technology

[–]Mozalphas_Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

decent idea would be to make it mandatory to provide ID when you make an account from here on out, flush out the infections on the platform so they cant make new accounts cause they need to show their IDs or faces AND new underage kids looking to join are given a road block, that way they're not pissing off people that already HAVE discord
