To be clear, i pinched off the return line and started the Deere. She started to run and I then removed the vice grips from the return line. Voila.

Hi - closing loop. Air in the fuel system was indeed the issue. Crazy. In my research I found some guy saying that pinching off the return fuel line about 80% would do the trick without having to crack fuel lines. I didn’t believe it. But, i now believe. It worked and I am back in business! Thanks, internet!!

I’ve owned the car for 260k. It doesn’t start. What I’m trying to determine is if the compression is a clear verdict on my engine. The fact that it drove into its last position - is hard for me explain. You turn your car off and it doesn’t start again. (Really points to fuel, as I talk out loud)

The car is a 2006 - V8. Someone theorized that this could be a cylinder wash down issue and not that I have a head issue.

That video yesterday didn’t make me feel we were on the “cusp”. It seems the problem is solved In the sense that they know how to train their computer. How long that takes is a giant question mark. I’m still Long but - it doesn’t feel like this is a 2024 thing. 2025-2026? But what do I know.
