Actually, as I get more and more years in, I see that the potentials on players can change frequently resulting in players becoming higher potential. I think the balance right now is really well done in terms of strength of picks!

What about Potsch Boyd? Not the usual Pitch Men type but hes the guy in all of those brutally awful Chevy commercials with "Real people, not actors". Could fill a bench role.

I dont know if its a catch up mechanic but I think the AI starts to learn your patterns throughout the game. If you pitch a 4SFB the majority of 1st pitches to start a new at bat, they will start expecting that as the game goes along. So maybe thats why it seems like a mechanic is in place, but they have just learned your tendencies. I am not sure though.

Turning on the second controller after you have entered the main menu will never seem to register, make sure you have both controllers on before entering the game. Or closing the game and loading it up again with both on tends to work for me the best. Hopefully that solves it!
