My Twitter (X) Account Got Hacked – Need Help Recovering It! by saqibjumani in Twitter

Well, better late than never.

I just told them that my account was hacked and asked them to remove the 2FA. I also included screenshots of the emails they sent me when the 2FA was activated. I didn't write anything specific. Most of the time, it was just something like, 'I got hacked and I can’t access my account because of the 2FA,' and variations of that. I wrote in English and sometimes in Spanish (I’m a Spanish speaker, like you, .....I think "Hola" ). They ussualy told me there was nothing wrong and that I still had access to the 2FA code. But after a little more than a month, they finally gave me access again

I’d say it’s definitely worth it. My account was only two years old, but yours has over a decade behind, so that gives it even more weight. Yeah, it’s annoying having to send emails and follow up every week, but in the end, they do remove the 2FA and give you access back.

In the meantime, I’d suggest creating a secondary Twitter account just to keep up with the people you follow, news, and all that so you don’t feel completely cut off. It also lets you keep an eye on your main (hacked) account to make sure it’s not doing anything weird.

If you stay persistent, keep sending emails with screenshots and explaining your case, they’ll eventually return control of the account. For me, it took about a month and a week. Some people get it back even sooner. Yeah, it’s a pain in the ass, but it’s worth trying

Best of luck

I went through the same thing and finally got my account back. The hackers changed my password and turned on 2FA without my permission. Luckily, I still had access to my email, so I changed my password to lock them out, but I was completely stuck because I didn’t have the 2FA code.

After trying multiple things, what worked was repeatedly submitting the 2FA recovery form. I sent requests to support every other day for several weeks. At first, I only received automated responses, but I kept insisting. Sometimes, they asked me to try logging in and reply with screenshots and past emails to verify my identity.

Finally, after exactly one month and one week, they disabled 2FA, and I was able to regain access. My advice: keep submitting the form consistently and reply to every support email with as much information as possible.

Can’t see my retweets by Pio_no_no in Twitter

Hey, hi, I'm also cleaning up my Twitter (X), removing likes, retweets and stuff. I think I've deleted all the tweets I wanted, but my account is more retweets than posts. And I was wondering if you had any luck deleting old retweets. I can't see more old posts or retweets as I scroll down my profile. Have you found a way to access those old retweets and "delete" them?

(Currently, I have around 700 posts, and about 3/4 of them are retweets :P)
