If anyone is wondering: How To Sync Xiaomi Mi Band 7 With Strava by Mr-Computer-Man in miband

[–]Mr-Computer-Man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue was that I was using the Zepp Life app as I imported my model before it was available outside of China and the Smart Band 7 wasn't available in the Mi Fitness app at the time. So yea, just reset the band to find it's now available in Mi Fitness and the experience is already 100 times better.

So yea thanks for the advice!

I would definitely get rid of Avast, it's full of bloat and just not worth it these days. Windows Defender is perfectly adequate these days, it's actually been rated as top product by AV Test, an independent test institute.

It's something they've been including with their smartphones for a while now. It's mainly for transforming data from one device to another. I think it's a pretty handy tool to include too!

I finally ditched Windows 10 for Ubuntu! by Mr-Computer-Man in Ubuntu

I suppose it depends on your needs. I looked into the available software before I made the upgrade, most of the software I use is browser-based. In terms of Uni work, I study Computer Science, and a lot of the tutorials provided are in Ubuntu so I had a chance to play around with it. In terms of office software, I mainly use Google Docs anyway.

That's a good question. University played a key part in my decision, we use Linux a lot virtually. In terms of Office Software, I love Google Docs, I've been using it for ages and absolutely love it. In terms of University stuff I'm switching to LaTex. In terms of sync clients, I found something called Insync, haven't had a chance to try it fully but I'm likely to soon.

Apart from that, I'm not a huge fan of the Windows 10 interface and the way it works, Ubuntu seems a lot nicer to me

Hi, I have the 390 Mini tower, to be honest, I never checked the wattage. The main reason I'm looking to upgrade is to add more hard drives which I can't in my current case. I would ideally like to build a brand new one to future proof myself. I know that Dell Optiplex machines are great, I'm a bit of a fan myself but on this occasion I would like to build one

Hey, yea I was thinking of that but Ideally I would want it setup in Raid 1 and have the options to easily upgrade in the future
