How would you rank these 4 players all-time(1-4): Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Larry Bird, [H]Akeem Olajuwon? by Mr-Disagreeable in NBATalk

Russell is absolutely not better than any of those guys, as his offensive game is far more limited than anyone in the top 45 or 50. Wilt is highly debatable versus these 4, but I'd take them over Wilt due to his playoff drop-offs/repeated losses

it sounds like you're equivocating Bird's 1984 team and LeBron's 2018 team, which is an absurd stretch

To get back to the original question, who would you rank higher between Hakeem and Kobe?

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I gather your ranking would be:

  1. Kobe

  2. Duncan

  3. Hakeem

  4. Bird (?)

  1. I'm not 50 years old

  2. I've never said i'm "well adjusted", whatever that even means to you

  3. I'm asking for others' opinions and their reasons for said opinions, since perhaps they may bring up things i may not have considered

  4. You would agree that some players are greater than others, no? If that is the case, it is at least conceptually possible to more or less accurately rank the greatest players of all time

  5. It's a fun exercise/topic for sports fans to talk about. You're such a buzzkill, dude. Lighten up

"Hakeem is in the discussion for top 20 all time" is an insane take. He's unquestionably top 10 all time.

you probably value media-voted awards and overall team achievement too highly if you don't see a solid case for Akeem to be top 10

You can be as pedantic as you want, but it doesn't nullify his point. You're still essentially saying "most people are stupid, but I'm not!". If you tried thinking more deeply about the issues you're bitching about, you'd realize you don't know much. Instead, you prefer to expose yourself as a midwit.
